"So what if it is?" Pietro sneered, looking down at Toad.
"Many people know who I am. But very few who know who I am dare to address me with such impertinence."
His form blurred and he was next to Toad in a blink of an eye.
"I could have your skin flayed from your back and hanging from the overhead lights in the blink of an eye," he hissed at the smaller mutant in a low angry voice.
"I could kill you before you so much as blinked twice. May I suggest pushing me further would not be a good idea?"

Toad smirked- although he was not without caution. If you had confidnece in a fight, you were either missing something, or you were underestimating the enemy. He had learned that several months ago- with a little run in with a white-haired witch. "But you wouldn't." he said. "You're too recognizable. SHEILD'd be on your tail before you could get your silver-streaked behind out the door." He took a step back, and started to crouch slightly, knowing he was pushing on the quick mutant's temper. "Are you telling me that you have absolutly no curiosity in the matters of your past?"

"Not that SHIELD would be able to contain me for long," Pietro said.
His fingers clenched into a fist as he tried to control the urge to hurt someone else. Preferrably the hideous man in front of him, making him remember things he would rather forget.
"What orphan doesn't have curiousity about their past? But I do not think it really matters now. All there is, is now, and my past is dead."
He shot Toad a deadly glare.
"I think I prefer it that way."

He held up his hands in defeat. "Whatever you say mate. For a fact, I know most orphans are a'least a little bit curious 'bout their pasts. But if you don't want my help, don't take it. To be quite honest with you, you can wear on the nerves a bit." he tapped his temple, still maintaining the defensive stance.

"The feeling of dislike is entirely mutual," Pietro snarled.
"If I run into you again, it will be entirely too soon."
He turned to walk away again, smoothing his hair back with one hand.

Toad sniggered as he walked away. "That hair of yours isn't going anywhere fast, mate. You got enough pomade in there to choke a cat."

Pietro twitched slightly.
"There is nothing wrong with my hair!"
Realizing he had drawn a lot more attention with that outburst, the speedster strode away even more quickly. Still believably human.

This comment, of course, only made the departing mutant chuckle louder, his shoulders hunching in mirth. If there was anything better than pushing on people's tempers, he'd had yet to find it.
