Vapor watched Magneto closely. Although managing to keep his composure, she could see that he'd gotten very comfortable with her name- not that it was something to test and inquire about, it just sparked a sense of interest with her.
Magneto asked her to recover a diary or personal Journal of McTaggart's, and so Vapor crossed the room to do a bit of digging around. Crossing to a high bookshelf, she began stripping it of its content, book by book casually being tossed onto a small table.

“Search very carefully and thoroughly,” Magneto encouraged them. He came over near Toad who was diligently typing away with his greenish mottled fingers on Christine’s computer.
“When you are done here, I have another system that you should tap into. That one will be considerably more challenging, but I am sure you are more than qualified.”
Raising his hand, a metallic orb disengaged from his belt and floated up to his hand. “Christine MacTaggert has done some things to change the world,” he said to whichever of the two Acolytes was listening. “We are going to find out how, and we are going to find out if she can do it again.”
The orb sailed gracefully up into the light fixture, and disappeared.
Turning to the two Acolytes, Magneto smiled. The bug had melded into the contour of the light fixture.

"Sounds like a plan, Mags." he said, popping the CD out of the drive, turning to face his master. "What'cha got for me?"

Vapor pulled back into a casual lean against the towering bookshelf, with a hard-cover in hand. Flipping through some pages, and skimming through text, it soon occured that that little book held extensive information. Most records dated on if not before Muir Island.
"I Think I got somethin'." Celise murmured, closing shut the book. She took a few steps toward Magneto and held it out toward him. "I'll keep looking for more stuff if that's insufficient."

In response to Toad, Magneto smiled faintly.
“There are many computer systems here that hold many secrets, Toad. I do not anticipate that we will have time to crack all of the codes, but I do believe that we will be able to get what we need.”
He took the book from Vapor, meeting her eyes for a brief moment before looking through it. “Perfect. I do believe we are almost done in this room.” He turned to Toad.
“Are we not?”
"Yea," he muttered, stowing the disk in the inner pocket of his vest. "Let's go. We got bigger fish to fry. Or computers. Which ever." he said with a grin. "And we'd best catch up with the others 'fore they get bored. You never know- in five minutes someone could have half of the mansion blown away." a beeping noise came from the computer, and the mutant whirlled around. "That's odd." he muttered. Magneto had already turned toward the door and was halfway out when the computer's high-pitched beep and Toad's comment made him stop. He turned back toward the mutant he had not seen for a very long time and shot him a quizzical look.
"What is it, Toad?"

"Somfin's coming through." he muttered, sitting back down at the computer. "A message from this McTaggart girl." he began tapping away at the keyboard, his brow furrowed.

Vapor never had her attention on Mortimer or his primary objective. Preferably, she had been on the opposite side of the spacious room, eyeing various ornaments propped against dressers and window sills.
With careful inspection and restraints on her curious hands, she noticed that some other occupant of this room favored foxes and dragons. A clear representation provided by the large posters displayed on the walls. Maybe just one poster shy of obsession, Celise assumed.
Kneeling to level herself with a low dresser, Celise sat her shades ontop her head and further examined an oriental piece sculpted into a family of foxes. A real eye-catcher with profound detail in the fur and features.

Standing behind Toad, Magneto looked unblinkingly at the monitor in front of him. It was a message that was obviously from this Christine MacTaggert girl that he had been looking for, but the tone of the message was anything but that of a frightened little girl. It was impetuous.
Crossing his arms, he brought one finger up to his lips as he thought about what it was saying. His guess was that this was not a pre-programmed message, but rather that somehow this Christine MacTaggert was privy to the fact that he was rummaging through her belongings.
This had to be some kind of live messaging service.
“If you are able, send a reply,” Magneto said to Toad, and he began to dictate immediately. “Christine MacTaggert. Under normal circumstances I would insist that you have mistaken me for somebody else. To my recollection we have never met. But these are not normal circumstances, nor are you anything remotely close to a normal girl.” He paused here for a minute.
“But you have my attention, Christine, and I have a few questions that I would like to ask you. If you would rather, we can meet in person for this discussion.” He stopped there, seeing if it was even possible for Toad to send the message.

Mortimer nodded, dutifully tapping in Magneto's message. This was getting odder by the second. As for the message link, there was no format to it- no program. It was just a white box in the middle of the screen with blurred, blue edges.
The messages sent his way almost looked like handwriting, but his corrisponding ones were deffinately set in Times New Roman. He set his ultimately techie-geek mind to this- trying to puzzle out the phenomena, whilst ignoring completely the seemingly more important issue unfolding between Erik and Christine.

I'm a telepath, Magneto, a very strong one. Do you really think I wouldn't be able to tell someone's in my room? Christine leaned back in her chair and looked at the screen, a smile appearing her lips. Ask your questions, but if you so much as call me Oracle, I'm ending the conversation right now.

After her silent observation of plush toys and a number of other sculptures and posters, Vapor moved against a wall and leaned back, examining her nails.
She ran the ball of her thumb against the edge of a few nails and glanced up at the other two at the computer center- their attention focused on whatever was being fed to them.
Celise pulled her arms into a fold and lowered her eyes to the plush rug beneath her boots. She listened as Magneto voiced his response and Toad, in his loyalty, relayed it into the computer.

"Continue, Toad."
Magneto walked along the room, clasping his hands behind his back as he formulated his next sentence. His eyes caught Vapor's for a moment, and studied her face.
"I do not wish to continue this conversation over the internet," he said, keeping his eyes on Vapor. "If you will consent to a meeting...face to face, it would be much preferred."
He could not tell how Celise was taking the information that she had recently found out about her 'ties' with Magneto. With her eyes cast to the ground, it was difficult to read anything from her carefully neutral expression.
"Do you consent?"
