"Completely. I'll never understand you Yanks. Can't drive on the proper side of the road," she said, indicating the proper side with a gesture - of course, her proper side was the wrong side of the road Yank-wise.

"Right..." she said quietly, sending a small and encouraging smile towards the cajun, pulling his coat tighter about her.
Being jostled about, the Goth looked mildly uncomfortable with her positio, but put up with it. There was only one other time she had been in the back compartment of one of these things... and that was when she and her room-mate Kitty had been chasing Remy and Avalanche down, trying to find out what they were doing when they "saved" Pietro from the army.
At least it's not a meat truck... she thought as if annoyed, but her face didn't show it. Instead, the young woman looked greatly relaxed in comparision.

Sitting back and quietly watching the whole incendent with the traffic stop, Callisto made no sound. Watching the others react, she wondered why she was even here. Because you wanted to be. You wanted to remeber what you ran from so long ago.
Looking at her feet, she felt a tear roll down her check. Quickly wiping it away, she sighed and closed her eyes. As the truck moved again, she was startled and opened her eyes. Smelling the Upworld air, she began to panic slightly. They're coming to get us. Me. I have to run, hide, far away from their eyes.
Getting up, she grabbed her staff off her back and looked around with a scared look in her eyes, something she would never have done. Unless I'm Topside. Having enough, she screamed, "Why won't you leave me alone!!"
(OCC: Thought I'd rule out the stealh possibilty....haha)

"Callisto, please calm down," Christine said, ducking to avoid getting hit by the staff. That was the last thing she needed - one of them to panic before the mission even started.

She heard the voice, but didn't recongnize it. It's an Upworlder. Look....look at them all stare! Stop it! "Stop staring at me! I'm not any differen't from you on the inside!". Swinging her staff, she smashed it into the side of the truck, causing a loud metal thud and dent in the side. Needing to take her anger and fear out on something, she began to dent the entire side.

"Callisto! Please!" Christine said, trying to figure out how to subdue the agitated mutant without hurting her. "Gambit, a little help over here!"

Merde. An' dis be where it all falls appart...
Stepping away from the wall, Gambit attempted to use his charm on Callisto.
"Hey, chere, what dat wall ever do to you?" he started, stepping closer to her with his hands held up in front of him, so she could see he had no weapon.
"Ain't nobody here gonna hurt you. Why don' you just hand me de staff, and take a deep breath," Remy continued, his voice smooth as silk. Reaching forward, he held out his hand for the staff.

Seeing Gambit, Callisto began to remember him. He looks famillar....the one who...tresspassed into The Alley! Done..he....he... Exhausted by swinging, she slowly stopped screaming and sank slowly to the ground.
After breathing had for serveral moments, she looked up to see everyone staring at her. "I'm sorry," she spoke in a quite voice, "But's it's been so long, and I couldn't handle it.....I finally cracked....like that mirror...but I'm fine now. I just don't like being looked at or seen". Dropping her staff to the ground with a clank, she stared at the dents she made and didn't move.

"It's okay, Callisto," Christine said, and knelt down in front of her. "It's okay. We're all entitled to moments where we lose control and lash out." She smiled up at the older female mutant. "I'm just glad you didn't hurt yourself."

Smiling a sad smile, Callisto nodded. "I didn't mean to. I just hate being up here. That's why I ran away from the stares...a long time ago".

"It'll be okay. As soon as the mission is over," she paused, and looked inward for something to say. "We can all go home after the mission. Besides, think of the stories you can tell the younger ones."
She glanced over at the Cajun. "Thanks, Remy," she murmured. "So, does the driver know how much longer this drive is going to be?"

-----Condor----- Lord, Forgive me, I am sinning, but to save the lives of mllions of your creations, I am willing to sacrifice hundreds. "Vater, verzeihen mir!" And with that, COndor realeased teh first of many warheads he had in his arsenal, then he sent a message to Juggernaut to pen fire, and passed controls for all nonexplosive weapons to the larger man-namely Chafe missile and machine guns. the first missile, from underneath the right wing, near the centre, soared into the base of an office building near the arch at the river, not eight blocks from a traffic jam that was begiing to dispearse. The resulting explosion crumpled several buildings(call it five or so) adn dropped the bridge into the river. The Us military realeased numorous of their own missiles and bullets, the missiles exploding prematurly on Juggernauts chafes, the machine gun bullets evaded for the most part by supperior mobility in the jet. The dust that arose from the resulting metal rain, also cleared away to reveal the entrance to a huge underground complex that appeared impervious to any damage musterable by any forces present.

"Looks like we have a way in, ladies and gentlemen," Christine said, having let her gift extend to take in the surroundings. "Let's get this party started." She adjusted part of her uniform and stood up. "Once we're in, split into your teams and get to work."

Wolverine
Feeling the truck slow down, it became evident that they were exiting the highway and were making their way into the city of St Louis. The feeling of anxiety and dread was so thick that you could almost taste it.
I don't know how much more of this little car ride I can handle!
Seeing Rogue all snuggled up to Gambit didn't sit too well with Logan, but with Chris curled up in a ball and weeping the two of them were not at the forefront of his mind. Still-you can bet I ain't done talkin' to you Rogue!
He patted Chris on the arm and whispered, "Keep those shields up kid. No more prying-keep your energy and strength up."
For now she could not afford to show this side of her. Though it pained him to admit it, her tears would have to wait until she was alone. "We're all lookin' to you to lead us." His tone was so quiet that only she could hear.

Christine nodded and looked up at Logan. "Right. Condor got us a way in. Let's use it and get the party started. The sooner we get in - the sooner we get the Professor and the sooner we can get the hell out of here."
