See what kinds of ideas we come up with when we put our collective heads together?

I think it is a very lovely swimsuit and fits Kitty well. Very sexy my dear. Kurt had better take a cold shower. ^_^

Well, that was fun. I guess nobody has anything else to say?
Gee, so many characters missed.

One t'ing I can say fo' sure: Bikini day is m' favourite day in history. ;D
Seriously, though, I'm not sure what to say without a specific example. We've covered a lotta topics, but there's always room for more discussion, I just apparently ain't tha one to expand on any of 'em. ;D
Unless ya wanna throw somethin' at me and I'll say my piece on it.

Well, the overriding topic is "Help", so if we're done talking about how to break in a new character and through discussing the purity of particular villainy then I'll accept anything brilliantly helpful as a correct answer.

Here's an inquiry (not just to Beast, anyone feel free to answer):
Do you think having more than 1 character detracts from...say...the deepness of a player's characters? It seems like having 3 and 4 and more characters running around on one site would make them all a bit more shallow and flatter. On the other hand, would having more add to the experience of a player to the point where they could handle the quantity without the reduction of quality?

Well here's a lovely little tidbit to do with knowing your character - research! It's no good coming up with a lovely, well-rounded character who enjoys shakespeare, if you haven't the faintest clue about him. Learn a little - even just grabbing quick summaries on the internet somewhere and the odd quote - you can't claim to have a character who is into something and then have them never mention it.
For example, I RPed a character the other day who was a dealer in a casino, at the blackjack table - I happen to know how blackjack works in Casinos (and all the stuff I forgot - I asked my brother), so it was ok.
Another example, Callie! Callie has babies. I know bugger all about babies, so I now have a baby info website saved to my favourites so I can look up all the things I need to know and keep everything as accurate as I can. Looking through my research folder I notice I also have marveldirectory, a page on military ranks, the map of the 'verse used in Firefly.. Wikipedia is helpful, and if all else fails, google 'till your hair turns blue. Maybe it makes characters seem too high-maintenance, but it *does* make them a lot better.
--------
In answer to Piotr's question - there are several players on here that have more than one character, and who play them all *excellently*, most of whom keep it a secret that they play multiple characters so I won't mention any names. Maybe when you're first starting out it's better to focus on one character, but it's really not that tricky to play more than one and still pay attention to them, depending on time restrainsts and such.
---
Kenny - with a lot of mutants their powers get better the more they train with them, so as far as I know, that'd be the way to go about it, but don't take my word for it.

Peter, I think the answer as far as "how many" is an individual one...although I think with anyone there is definitely a point of diminishing returns. Depth is partly a matter of experience, partly a matter of understanding character. I've seen people handle not very many characters not very well....and I've seen them (not the same "them" ;D) handle several with really astonishing skill.
So gut reaction I think it's probably my opinion that having a couple of them isn't really such a bad thing....but again it's sort of on a case by case basis. I've seen some people play multiple characters that are indistinguishable, too....so I don't think there's a universal answer.
