The teasing her mostly-sister part of the day over with, Rahne decided to investigate the other people who;d managed to make it to the poolside. There were some of the usual undercurrents of tension, but most people seemed to have decided to relax today and play nice. She padded between people, head down and tail still wagging a little as she made her way to the grill.
Hmm, smelled good.
Sitting on her haunches in classic expectant canine position near Alex, she yipped quietly to announce her arrival. She wasn't begging, exactly. After all, everyone was going to eat, sooner or later. She just wanted some meat a little bloodier and sooner then anyone else.

Alex gratefully accepted the hand sanitizer from Guido and got to work. He settled the meat on the grill and closed it up. He hadn't heard a response from Remy yet. That meant that either he had given up (very slim chance) or that he was trying to think up a good comeback line. Which was also in violation of the competition. Or, at least in violation of the spirit of the competition. If it wasn't off the top of your head, it just wasn't right.
He got a whiff of wet dog, and got this confused look on his face. It wasn't him, and it couldn't be the meat on the grill. Or, at least it better not be the meat on the grill. After he heard the yip, he looked down to see Rahne sitting next to him, looking up at him expectantly.
Jesus, Christ, there was a wolf-girl sitting next to him and begging.
"I really don't feel comfortable doing this, Rahne." He closed the lid of the grill to allow the meat to cook better. "It's not so much that you're asking for something that I know your human form can't really digest well; it's more the way you're asking." He met Rahne's eyes as they looked at him, hoping to see something of the little girl in them.
He was preaching; he knew it. He had no right to do so, but he was doing it anyway. Something about being a Summers made it an irresistible urge. He had to apply his own morals and values to everyone else around him. He couldn't help it.
So, instead of stopping it, he just rolled his eyes, opened the grill and took out a hot dog that was barely warm. Closing the grill, he said, "Okay, here, but later if you start throwing up once you shift back, don't come crying to me." There. Now he could stop preaching and get back to grilling. He gave her the dog and put some hand sanitizer on his hands.
"You haven't seen or smelled Bobby anywhere, have you? Or the other two Musketeers?" This was actually starting to bother him. Their absence couldn't mean anything good. It just couldn't. Any moment, he expected some kind of explosion, or worse...
He couldn't readily come up with what could be worse at the moment, but he was sure those three could.

It was not begging, she was just being strategic. Considering the hoard at poolside, she knew the line was going to be long and she was hungry now. Besides, wolves had cast iron stomachs. There was little she couldn't eat, and so she just wouldn't go human for a little while. Not a big deal.
However, Alex did listen to reason and she didn't have to bite him. Yet. She did make it a rule not to bite people on the team, at least as much as she could avoid it. But sometimes a good nip on the ankle was called for. Taking the offered hot dog into her mouth, Rahne tipped her head back and snarfed it down in a few carefully managed bites.
"You haven't seen or smelled Bobby anywhere, have you? Or the other two Musketeers?"
Shaking her head in answer, Rahne got ready to go. Alex smelled all concerned. Should she be concerned too? That was usually the sort of thinking she left for when she had a brain that thought in abstracts. Otherwise it made her head hurt.
Besides, right now she wanted somewhere in the sun to lie in to dry out her fur. Yawning a little, Rahne went to select a good spot. One of the sun lounges would be ideal.
