As Rogue boarded the train, Remy placed his hands in his pockets, stepping back from the platform. Looking up at the darkened windows, he saw take her seat, giving him one last wave before turning her face away.
A part of him hope that at the last second, she would come running from the train, and jump into his arms saying that she couldn’t leave him, and that she would stay. But he knew it wouldn’t happen. Lowering his head, he closed his eyes and listened as the train pulled away from the station. Taking a shuddering breath, he looked up once more, just in time to see it disappear from sight.
