Magneto left the chaotic council room and headed down the hallway. The rumbling he heard could only mean one thing. That impetuous Logan has flown off to attack these Sentinals on his own! “How does one lead such a people?” He said, quoting Moses about the children of Israel.
The sheer fabric of the curtains that adorned one of the only windows that Magneto had not covered with metal began to dance about and suddenly Ororo appeared, sailing into the room and landing gracefully before him. Her eyes were clouded over white and her face looked stern and set.
“Ororo, was that the Blackbird I heard leaving?”
Touching down in the hallway, Storm was startled to find Magneto standing directly before her. Closing her eyes for a moment, she reopened them to reveal their natural blue.
“Unfortunately, yes it was,” she said, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. “I should have seen this coming…”
Sighing, she ran a hand through her windblown hair. The peace and calm she had found from flying had quickly been destroyed upon seeing the Blackbird disappear into the distance.

Clenching his fists at his side, Magneto barely could control his anger. "What does he think he is doing? He has no idea what I even had planned!" His jaw was clenched and he was fighting his anger. "This will end in tragedy!"
Seeing the look that Ororo had on her face he brought the volume down a little. "Is he always so..."

“Stubborn? Rash? Yes, but even more so lately, it seems,” she responded, a wry smile on her face. “I know that nothing was resolved by the time I left the meeting earlier, but I had hoped that he would be more susceptive to yours and Henry’s advice without my presence there.”
Taking a deep breath, she wrapped her arms around herself, shaking her head.
“But it seems I was mistaken.”
Ororo lowered her gaze to the floor as she pushed her anger to the deepest recesses or her mind. As tempting as it was to let loose, and give Logan a hell of a storm to navigate through, she knew it wasn’t right, nor would it do any good. He would never turn back.

Sensing he might be treading on treachorous ground, Magneto felt the following needed to be said anyway. "Whatever problems you two have need to be resolved. I don't need to tell you that lives are at stake here!"
Most likely the lives of every one of the mutants on board that flight! "Wolverine left right after you did. We thought the matter was closed." He thought for a second. "Do you have any idea who he took with him? I am afraid they are in serious danger."

At Magneto’s first comments, Storm affixed him with harsh glare. She did not appreciate having him point out the obvious to her. Nor did he need to point out that if lives were lost on this mission, it would partially be her fault.
“I am well aware of this,” she responded, hugging herself tighter, as Magneto continued.
“I am not sure who he convinced to follow him, but in the meeting he had suggested several of your team, as well as Guido.”
She knew that Logan would not willingly endanger the lives of any of the younger students. And she hoped the X Men would not follow him blindly. But with the Acolytes staying here as well, Logan had a few wild cards to choose from.

"Ororo, I know you are a very capable woman, and from talking to you I can see that you are very bright." Magneto said mostly in response to her glare. "I do not mean to point out the obvious, but there is some high emotions running between you two and right now that means the whole school is in danger."
He thought about what she had said. "Yes, Guido, Pyro and Gambit were the ones he had chosen...and I cannot sense any of them on the grounds here." He looked at her sternly again. "I suggest the first thing we do is make sure there are not others that he has taken."

Sighing, Storm turned her eyes away from Magneto’s. Staring at her feet for a moment in shame, she quickly masked her emotions before raising her head once more.
Believe me, I know. And we will definitely talk this through upon Logan’s return, she thought, deciding against voicing it aloud.
“I agree. I also believe we should inform Henry of this. Maybe he can track the Blackbird,” she responded, as she started walking.

"Wait." Erik said, laying a hand on her shoulder. "We certainly should tell Henry about this, but he is tending to Christine in the Medlabs right now." Ororo had stiffened at his touch, obviously not expecting it or possibly just not desiring it. He kept it there nonetheless.
"I suggest we call the Blackbird. I somehow doubt Logan is in a mood to be reasoned with, but the very least I could do is let them know exactly what kind of hornet's nest they are walking into."
Just then he heard voices over the railing down in the entryway. He went over to the side and peered over. There was Jean Grey and the mutant known as Cyclops. He had collapsed on the floor and looked horribly beat up. Jean was kneeling beside him looking worried. Erik looked into Ororo's eyes who had stepped up next to him and neither of them spoke.

“Of course. I just hope he has the radio turned on,” she said quietly, startled by the contact. But that was nothing compared to the shock she received upon glancing over the railing to the entrance below.
Jean was kneeling beside an unconscious young man. He was battered and bruised, his clothing torn and bloody. And if his appearance wasn’t shocking enough, Storm realized who it was.
“Scott? Oh Goddess,” she whispered. Without giving Magneto a second thought, she rushed to the side of her fallen friend.

Erik lifted off the ground and flew down to the ground level where the others were. "What has happened here?" Scott looked like he had been heavily assaulted and he was coming in and out of consciousness.
It almost looked like he wanted to open fire on Magneto, but he didn't even have the strength to lift his hand. "We must get him down to the medlab immediately." Magneto said, enveloping Scott in a field of blue and lifting him off the ground. "He might have suffered a concussion. We must not let him go to sleep!"

Taela stealthily glided through the shadows in the hallways. She noticed the activity down the hall a bit and went to investigate. She remained in her dragonfox form, not much taller than Scott's knees at her shoulder. She peeked out of a shadow to observe a few people she hadn't met yet all fussing over the fallen form of a hansome, and rather beatup, young man. Wonder who that is. She thought. She watched silently from the shadows as one of them enveloped the young man in a blue orb and lifted him up. That one's definitely one to put on the "Do NOT Piss Off" list She thought, noting how the man spoke with great authority. She continued to watch silently, just barely visible in the shadows as her blue eyes glinted with interest and curiosity. OOC-The Dragonfox is a creature I made. Right now Taela looks like the pic on the bottom of my posts btw- I drew both my pics, too!

Scott drifted back into the land of the living long enough to see Jean's face above him, patting his face and pleading with him to stay with her. He tried to reply, but only managed a rasping wheeze.
He suddenly felt himself being lifted bodily off the ground, though no hands touched him. He turned a half-opened eye to the stairwell, and saw Ororo and...Magneto?
It's true, then, Scott thought in despair. He has taken over.
His eyes began to glow fiercely behind his sunglasses, but he was too weak to lift his glasses, and he feared his control wasn't enough to hit his target without endangering Jean or Ororo.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Taela slipped from the shadows so she was just barely in the view of the young man floating in the blue orb. She swayed her tails, showing her interest in the goings-on of the group. She was intrigued by the glow she saw from around the corners of the young man's glasses.
