It took Kurt a minute to come up with a fitting response.
darkcloud: That is my fault. Not only do I have trouble sleeping, I cannot type either.
He thought the irony of typing that message made it rather funny.

((OOC: I know it's out of turn - but perfect response))
Jono was rather impressed with himself when the perfect answer to darkcloud came to him instantly.
silentfire: Why on earth did you get appointed secretary then?
Maybe it wasn't the wittiest of witty replies, but he got it in quick - and he found it amusing at least.

(( OOC: Asked and answered... I hope that Sapphire does not mind)) "Good question!", Kurt said with a sputtering laugh. This time he didn't realize he had done it. darkcloud: I would check the notes and minutes from the meeting, but I am not very good at keeping those either.

((OOC: Time to play catch-up >>, will edit with my post))
The two others seemed to be getting along quite nicely without giving her a chance to type in any responses whatsoever. She was chuckling at the jokes forthcoming and just sat and watched the two converse. But, she was lonely and wanted the attention just as much as anyone and decided to que in.
AmazonWarrior: Hmmph, you can have the presidency and that leaves me with the vice-presidency. Any unfortunate accidents *coughcough* and I'll be in charge. ^_^ And don't worry darkcloud, good typing doesn't make for bad secretarial skills.

silentfire: Well this organisation is clearly going to the dogs.
His entry came up after AmazonWarrior's, and as he read hers, he realised his error - though only in jest, since none of this was serious.
silentfire: That is to say, it was going to the dogs, but now I'm president, it's a brave new era in sleep deprivation.

Kurt read AmazonWarrior's reply and then blinked at the screen. He read it again out loud and tried to figure out what (s)he meant....but as soon as he saw silentfire's reply he smiled and let it go. darkcloud: As soon as I find a pencil, I will write that down.... *noises of darkcloud trying to find a pencil*

She was enjoying their little chat, but like always, people were not on this late at night unless they had issues. Issues they were either afraid of facing or refused to face like her own nightmares. With Jacob gone, she would sure make these few days all nighters and that would make for a very cranky kitty in a couple of days.
Sam decided to change the subject and find out a little more about her two new friends, without asking them anything too personal.
AmazonWarrior: This is the most I've smiled or laughed in a while, thanks to you both. Um, any other hobbies out there besides sleeplessness? I enjoy music and a good walk through the park.

Though the whole isomniacs anonymous thing was amusing, Jono was glad when AmazonWarrior decided to change the subject - it was easy to take a joke too far and he was running out of ideas.
Though the change was welcome, the subject was verging on not - and though his reply seemed nonchalent, it was anything but. He hoped they wouldn't keep sharing personal details, they could get onto some uncomfortable subjects that way.
silentfire: I play the guitar
He was even a little proud of himself - it was a lot easier to open up over the computer, even admitting he played the guitar was usually something few people knew - since his powers came out anyway.

Hobbies?, Kurt thought. Besides playing around as pirates or training against robots in the Danger Room? I used to be an aerialist in the circus?
It stumped him to find something he could offer.
darkcloud: I like to work out
His face twisted as he hit enter and he bit his lip because it didn't sound right at all.

Reading the two answers, she decided to keep the conversation tonight about hobbies, since she didn't want anyone uncomfortable. They seemed to be following her which meant they were probably both males and she was controlling the conversation as women seem to do.
AmazonWarrior: Oh, I wish I could hear you play silentfire. I love the guitar, especially country music. Well, I definitely like a good work out darkcloud especially after a long hard day.

Jono was glad they were just online and there was no way she could hear any of his music - the fire had gone out of as of late, especially in front of audiences.
Best to avoid that topic though - and luckily AmazonWarrior had given him an easy way to step around him playing for people.
silentfire: Sorry, I don't play country music.
He decided to stop short of actually insulting it - he'd actually (sort of) made a friend, he didn't want to offend them so early on.

What he really liked to do was be with Kitty or with Bobby, but the thought of mentioning girlfriends or roommates seemed a little too painful to approach to strangers.
In fact, Kurt couldn't remember ever really talking to normal strangers before. He was either an oddity or a celebrity in the circus...one that people assumed was merely in a flashy costume...or he was among mutants. Normal strangers were often the kind of people who had once tried to drive a stake through his heart once they got a look at him.
darkcloud: I really like to spend time outside and meet new people....but there are....medical reasons... I am not able to get out much.

Samantha looked at the responses on the screen and laughed. She could tell silentfire didn't like country music and that was ok with her, since she had other tastes in music as well. Her heart went out to darkcloud as his words stung her soft caring heart. She was afraid to respond, but didn't want to sound rude so she tried to handle it the way she would if she was in the room actually facing the person.
AmazonWarrior: *giggles* It's ok not to like Country music silentfire, I also like rock like Nickelback?
AmazonWarrior: *gives a warm hug to darkcloud* Then I'm glad you could be in the presence of us here even if it is in cyberworld.

Darkcloud's words struck a chord with Jono - he couldn't help but wonder if darkcloud's 'medical reasons' was just a mutation like his.
silentfire: Nickelback are all right, I guess that's not far off the stuff I play.
After a minute, he decided to throw darkcloud a bit of reassurance as well
silentfire: I know what you mean, darkcloud, but AmazonWarrior's right, and if you were out and about - who would take notes?
Maybe the whole meeting thing was tired, but he couldn't resist throwing in another reference.

silentfire had a quick wit that Kurt liked. The discussion of music had so far eluded him. darkcloud: A good point. *noises of darkcloud trying to find a pencil*
