Samantha continued to walk the halls of the mansion taking in all the sites. To the feline shape shifter, everything was new, yet very familiar. Since waking up in her room, Sam spent very little time doing anything other than trying to figure just what in the world was going on. The dreams had to be flashbacks. Where did she get that pendant?
Maybe it was a gift you simply forgot about, trailed through the mind as the mutant now turned backwards walking tried to convey. Has her mind gone so far insane that a simple gift was forgotten now? “I need answers”, mumbled Sam continuing to pace backwards. Paintings on the wall took her attention along with familiar voices from the library. “I’m already at the library?” again she spoke to no one.
It was like a dream in itself. Maybe this existence right now was the dream and she’d wake up in her room back in the Savage Lands. One more step and the feline suddenly stopped. Not only had she managed to bump softly into someone, the scent made her eyes open wide. Like a camera flash, a couple of images appeared to the shape shifter. First, a man staring at her while she was dressed for an exquisite party. The second image was of the same man chasing her through the forest. It was this same man’s scent that erupted through the nostrils as the person she bumped into.
Oh boy.

Logan hadn’t made it twenty feet down the hallway when a particularly distracted staff member turned the corner and ran directly into him. There was a moment of silence as her eyes widened when she looked at him and neither of them uttered a single word.
For his part, Logan was picking up something peculiar about her scent as well. She had that ‘prey’ smell about her, and it fueled something primal inside of him to see her standing there with wide terrified eyes and to hear her racing little heart thumping inside of her chest.
But he was used to suppressing all of these feelings. Maybe they weren’t always this strong, but Logan wasn’t a stranger to the lure of his feral nature no matter what form it decided to come in. There actually wasn’t much of a line of distinction between sex and violence. Not that he believed that on all levels.
Logan broke the silence.
“Sam.” He looked her over, drawing in a breath that carried with it the sharp smell of her fear. “You feel like goin’ for a ride?”
He knew he could use a drink. Unfortunately Chuck frowned on alcohol being on school grounds.

Sam must have looked like a deer in headlights as she continued to stare at Logan while he spoke. Her mind screamed NO! He’s just going to take you to your execution.
I want to LIVE! But for some ungodly reason, her head nodded yes. Before she could change her mind, the shape shifter was following Logan out to the garage, given a helmet and straddled behind the feral holding his large torso for dear life. What the hell am I doing?**Continued for Sam and Logan here: Cold One

**Had almost forgotten about this. Might as well wrap it up**
"As pleased as I am to meet you both, one is company for me, but two is a crowd. Forgive me please." Tatiana tried to explain as she stretched her legs and laid her book open to one side. She had been to the page about her favorite part. The reunion between the two lovers. The words 'As you Wish' always brought a smile to her face.
"Feel free to run into me again, both of you." Tati said with a small wave as she headed out the door. A walk in the woods lost in thought was exactly what she needed now.
