Callie giggled, wrinkling her nose "Daddy!" she laughed, ducking out from under his hand and straightening her hair out with the sort of entirely stern look that only a child can manage.
"If we all decide?" she repeated "Me included? I get to help pick?" she asked excitedly.
This was a very interesting prospect. She'd seen when her daddy was interviewing for research assistants, and had spent the whole next week playing interview with Mister Fuzzy. The idea of doing it for real was a lot of fun.

Emma sighed, relaxed.
“Good! Then we’re agreed,” she smiled, feeling lighter by the minute.
Callie was adorable, and Emma loved her daughter very much… But a kid and several other children and criminals that needed her attention as well was, to say the least, a little too much for even the White Witch to handle. She’d just have to spend time with Callie in the evenings. Maybe they could play a game and she could find out more about Mr. Fuzzy that way.
“Henry, how do you propose to compile perspective… nannies?”
She wrinkled her nose at the word. It sounded so old.

Henry was a little taken aback. The suggestion was Emma's...they would have to find one somehow...but apparently once conceived the actual solution was up to him.
"...um....well...", said the smartest man alive.
"...I suppose we....advertise somehow....", Henry continued, "...and interview the ones that send in qualified credentials..."
It made sense to Henry. It was how one found any other kinds of employees.

"If we wrote an advert and put it in a fireplace, would we get Mary Poppins?" Callie wondered aloud, then shook her head slightly "But we don't have a fireplace... so where do we advertise?"
She didn't really know that much about attracting employees, it was the interview part that she wanted to help with! "I get to help with the interviews, right?" She asked for clarification, best make sure she did, she wasn't going to let them have all the fun!

Emma frowned at her daughter’s question and immediately thought up the ridiculous image of posted flyers along walls within the castle complex. Quickly, she held her breath to keep the laugh from coming out like a snort. Simply put, any sound resembling a pig would not be very Emma-like, that’s for sure.
“Yes, Callie, dear.” She nodded, still thinking about her previous dilemma, “You can help with the interviews, too…”
She paused, giving her daughter an appraising look.
Then continued, “But only if your father says you can.”

He could see some suppressed emotion in Emma's expression, but he couldn't quite tell what it was. The only thing he knew was, she looked pleased - and that was good enough.
"Absolutely", Henry answered. "We only have to approve of whoever we select. Callie here has to spend the day with them."
He, too, gave Callie the appraising look, and he smiled.
"It would help is she actually liked whoever we pick."

Callie looked up at her father expectantly on the news that he would have the final say, then broke out into a joyous grin when he replied in the affirmative.
She was about to ask if Mister Fuzzy could join in too, but then thought better of it, just in case they weren't quite as happy about him as they seemed to be.
"So when do I get to do it?" She asked quickly, already excitable over the prospect.

Emma shrugged casually, and looked to Henry.
"We could put out a request this week and see what turns up, I suppose."
The blonde woman didn't like the idea of giving her daughter away to some stranger so quickly, but with things as busy as they were... She still had some criminals to retrain. There just wasn't enough time for the excessive amount of work that Magneto expected, and to keep a child in line on top of that.
Topics like this always had Emma on edge.
