Since I keep referencing the Academy days of yesteryear, when we were "New Mutants" in the service of SHIELD, it was suggested that maybe... just maybe...

We could RPG some scenes from then...

Back when life was a little more different...

The War of Ascension was in full swing [as opposed to being just rounding up cells and insurgents now, victory nearly complete]...

Magneto's power base hadn't shifted to the structure it is now, not having been nearly assassinated by the Friends of Humanity yet [how naive we were back then, to think that mutants would never betray their own kind to the humans!]...

Yes, its a very different place, not that long ago...
