because one of my friends on LJ got me hooked on a game I haven't played yet. Standard warning for language.

Sky pushed himself up off the ground, having gotten reaquainted with it after that run-in with that wizard. Something felt wrong, he felt different. His whole body felt wrong. Not that it was something he wasn't used to - after spending much of his life being transformed into *something*, it was slowly getting painfully familiar - this had to be at least his fifteenth transformation within a three month time frame (excluding the transformations induced by a full moon - he never counted those), well at least that he could remember - he was sure there were one or two transformations that he had forgotten about for being too humilating. His balance was off and he fell again, before he finally managed to get his feet again. He rubbed the back of his neck, and was a bit started to feel fur - and not the type he was used to (not that he wanted to be used to his fur as a werewolf). Okay, now what happened? This better be some cheap Halloween costume that just had its zipper broken, otherwise, there would be hell to pay. Provided he could figure out how to work his limbs.
He cast a weary glance about and spotted a wizard approaching him. "Oh, God, now what," he groaned, looking for his sword or a shield. Anything that he could use to defend himself. Wizards were never a good thing to be dealing with - especially when he wasn't even used to how this body worked.
"Awake, finally, Cornelius?" the wizard asked, the accent different then what Sky was used to. This clearly meant that the wizard wasn't from the nearby area, which only made him groan mentally. Out of realmers were never fun to deal with - especially out of realm *wizards*. They always made a mess of political dealings.
Sky blinked at the foriegn name and then buried his face in his hand, or was that a paw? Oh that was just peachy. This whole thing, a result of mistaken identity. "The name's Sky. Not Cornelius. Unless you're butchering my girl's grandfather's name and then he might send his dragon to eat you." He could feel his cheeks heat up and was grateful that the fur hid the blush. "Ah, my teammate's grandfather." A minor save - but completely after he dropped that bombshell. Thank God Bloom wasn't there - he would have been dead for sure.
Ingway stared for a moment, before remembering how to blink. "Shit." Oh, shit, he should have remembered that he had cursed Cornelius almost a year ago. Hard to believe how fast time had flown - but it had. Now he suddenly felt older then he had moments ago.
"Understatement. Now, what the fuck am I?" Sky asked, crossing his arms over his chest. They were so small... He wouldn't be able to hold anyone. Not that it mattered... He shook his head, trying to clear it. He had more important things to think about at the moment. His lovelife, well, that wasn't one of them. Not since it was a certifible mess at the moment - especially following that ugly break-up with Bloom. How surprising it was to find out she was cheating on him and he called her on it, only to have a rehash of their first argument post Diaspro.
"Pooka," Ingway said, looking at the light blue pooka. Well, it did look like Cornelius's form now that he thought about it. Not that it would make either male feel better. Velvet was definitely going to skin him alive. Maybe he could turn into a frog and hide with that little fairy, Mercedes. By the Aesir, he missed her, and missed her something fierce. How had that tiny fae wormed and wiggled her way into his icy heart. Anything would be preferable then dealing with the wrath of his twin. Her temper was legendary - especially when it dealt with her lover, that pooka prince. Crap. Now there was two of them. Bother. Hopefully... Hopefully he could get out of there before Velvet showed... Shit, that was her. With him. He stifled a growl at the sight of the pooka. Although, he did suddenly get a craving for rabbit stew and he shot Cornelius a predatory smile before gulping at the sight of Velvet's death glare.
Velvet looked at her brother, at the new pooka, and then back at her brother. "Have you lost your mind?" she asked, carefully masking her temper. "You've just messed up yet another royal family. Thank Odin it's not one of our allies."
Cornelius glanced over at the other pooka and sighed. "Saints and wraiths, this is not going to be a fun week, is it? Looks like I get to be a teacher. Never was good at the teaching thing." One ear swivled of its own accord - something that always bothered him, having caught Velvet's stifled laughter. He turned to look at her and shook his head, a tired yet amused smile on his face.
"Teach what," Sky said, taking a step before falling flat on his face. Damn, he had thought he had gotten his coordination in sync when he had been able to stand up. And the ground hadn't looked nice the first time he looked at it.
"Well, walking for starters," Velvet deadpanned, watching the scene before her with a wince. That had to have hurt. Okay, a newborn pooka - sure, they could raise it. And really mess him up royally. Or not. But she had this feeling he'd end up with issues - huge issues. Cornelius type issues - especially if this pooka had a girlfriend before he became a pooka. And judging by his expression as he pushed himself up, there were going to be Cornelius type issues. Why did she have to get stuck with emo rabbits? Oh, yes, she thought as she watched Cornelius help up the newborn - she was in love with the prince of all emo rabbits.
Cornelius was quiet during the entire time he helped the newborn up. It was hard enough to explain, it would be easier to show him. He carefully guided him through walking before letting out a tired sigh. "Okay, at least he knows how to walk now."
"Yay," Sky deadpanned.
Velvet shook her head. This was going to be a headache. "Emo rabbits," she muttered under her breath.
Cornelius just fixed her with a look. "Not our fault," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Things just had a way of conspiring against us. Hence why we..."
"We know," the twins said at the same time. Velvet cleared her throat and Ingway chuckled.
