In other words....
....you like it but you hate it....?

Looks like Hank ta me. Grapeape. I love the expression on that last one. And all the others. The one of Chris workin' out is good, but I think she needs a parka, some golashes, and a lot of other baggy clothes to cover her up. And I love the ones with Psylocke. (I think the secret there is less clothes.)

Well, it's a bit creepy to me, but hey that's only my opinion. I'm sure everyone else here loves it. It's just a more serious natured Hank, one I'm not use to yet since I haven't had the pleasure to RP with you yet. And, from what I've read, the pleasantry in your facial expression is missing to me. I really do like the graphics though. And Wolvie, you would like less clothes wouldn't you.

The missing pleasantry is deliberate. If you read the scene it's based on, Henry is far from in the best of moods. He has just returned from a failed trip to capture Sabretooth...one in which he left Logan to continue without him...he thinks he's found a cure or at least a powerful lead for the Legacy Virus but his own biological needs are keeping him from vitally important work that could save the lives of others. He's tired, he's sore from the pounding he took at Sabretooth's hands, and he just discovered that a person he thinks of almost as a daughter - who disappeared in the middle of the vital research mentioned above in which she was one of the original primary researchers - has returned, is upset, looks dangerously like she might be out of control ...and as the person he remembers as formerly destroying the Universe-That-Was that's not an insignificant thing to him...
...and to top it all off she's started doing something he personally thinks is among the dumbest things someone he cares about could do.
Forgive him a little for allowing his jovial sensibilities to slip enough that one of the primary reasons his codename is apt shows on his understandably cranky face.
Make any sense?

Be careful. You wouldn't want your debut in this thread to be something equally embarrassing.

Please, I am not putting you or your artwork down in any way. And I haven't read ALL of your threads, although I find your RPing very entertaining to say the least. I haven't read that part in your RP and totally understand. You have just started posting expressions from RPs since the Gym thread, so I was not aware that particular picture was from another RP. My apologies to you, but it is still a side of Hank, I don't want to ever come in contact with.

No apologies needed. I'm far from offended or even the slightest bit defensive. Just thought maybe an explanation would give you an idea of what I was shooting for.
I already regard many of the things I've done as failures along the process I sometimes wish I could make go away. (Prime example is my first attempt at Bamf.) So I'm very conscious of the fact that my latest efforts might look like a complete mistake later. With that in mind, I'm trying to say "here's what I was thinking" to try to explain why things look the way they do.

I really like how you are doing the Workout [2] thread with the images of expression that follow. And that's what I missed with the image of yourself and the emotional state of that particular post. There, I finally said it right.

Excellent guess, Toad....! You have my applause and my assurance that Bikini Day will be somewhat less traumatic than I'd planned. Presenting: Beast's vision of Kenny Orion.
