When I jumped into that thread, I must admit I'd forgotten that Kirra didn't talk.... I musta somehow missed it when I took a peek at her bio.
*hangs head*
Hopefully we can make it go somewhere! So far, so good, though!

Yes. So far, so good.
You just fell victim to Dr. McCoy's second rule of Original Characters:
It happens even when the other person spells everything out. Since we haven't seen the OCs visually in film, cartoons or comics we're left with whatever image we get (and then remember) from scanning their bio or other posts.
It really does add to the difficulty.

It is ok that you forgot, Lockheed. I should have noted that again... I thought I had... *reads posts again* Woopsie... I guess not...
To Beast's earlier comment:
I really don't think I could go longer for a day now (with out talking). My life is to hectic for much silense. Plus I think it bothers my parents... *shrugs with a grin*

It's not a problem, Kirra. Besides, it makes it easier to react to something you didn't already know about. Lockheed wouldn't have known Kirra couldn't talk, so it made it more lifelike for me to not know, as well. As we say in tabletop RPGs, it made it impossible for me to metagame.
And metagaming makes things less fun, so kudos to you for just being fun to play with!

It isn't netspeak. It's something I do in my spare time. I'm a rampant dungeons and Dragons fan. D&D is a tabletop RPG b/c it is played on a table with dice, books and occasionally, miniatures.
Metagaming is when you bring knowledge from the outside world (like reading a character bio) into the game. When you know something your character wouldn't know and you use it, that's called metagaming.
You're doing good in the scene, Kirra!

Ah... you should chat with Keda... she loves D&D. I kinda like it... never played the game though...
Thank you for the compliment. *smiles*

The hand that was brought up to guide stray bangs aside, froze along her ear as she watched the man, or rather, Magneto, tower in the doorway. Obviously something had changed about him. This time her nifty little frames weren't there to veil her surprise as they were nestled atop her head. Deep mahogany eyes were near transfixed against his dark exterior, and her mouth slightly parted in awe. She'd never seen him like this - Hell, she hardly ever sees him. Nicely done, Vapor.

And my thanks to you, friend. You certainly gave me a new situation by teleporting. I hadn't figured on dealing with that!
Excellent job to you and Kitty. You made my first thread with this character so fun!!!!
And you dealt beautifully with the way Patricia initially manipulated you!!

I think it's about time I wrapped up this little circle of love with my own comments, huh? ;D For a first thread, you did a wonderful job! Patricia is an intriguing character, who has so much potential! Her reaction to Kurt breaking the connection was great, and really gave us a feel for how her powers affect her. And Kurt, you were wonderful as always. Loved the Orlando Bloom thing and you definitely caught me by surprise with that ending!

I love everyone's reactions in the Night in the City thread. Especially Jubilee's last post. I think I found a new battle cry worth committing to memory:
"Die you scumsucking bastard son of a toaster!" AWESOME!
;D

*reads above posts* Toaster... *laughs*
Ahem...
I want to thank both Lockheed and Northstar for their posts with me.
Much fun and helped me get a better grasp of Kirra's thoughts and how she reacts in some situations. As well as further making it clear that lang. gaps suck! *laughs* but that's how it's fun.
I hope to eventually get into the institute with Lockheed's draconic help, cuz' some peoples just don't like Kirra... *laughs* What a fun thread that was!
Thanks again!
