Okay... once in a while, there's something that I see that I just really enjoy. Either it's a character thing I think works pretty well, or something really descriptive that I thought conjured the scene or something like that. I've referred back to things like Rahne's Danger Room scene before as moments that just made me go "Wow." So this is where I plan to let people know "Y'know what? That small scene or way of saying something was just really cool." If I don't include something it doesn't mean it wasn't great or it might mean that I haven't read it yet..... But this isn't about catching everything and it's not about the big stories. It's about those moments when what someone else wrote just "clicks" for you and makes you go, "Yeah!" Feel free to join me with your own. First up: Logan's descriptive scene here - xevolved.proboards35.com/index.cgi?board=away&action=display&thread=1100604667the part that caught me was this: Creepy and very vivid.

Heh. Thanks for the feedback, Beast. ;D
I know I've been a little slow in catching up with all the SHIELD threads, but I wanted to point out the Carosella/Madrox thread.
It had me laughing the whole time! Very funny combo there!

xevolved.proboards35.com/index.cgi?board=alley&action=display&thread=1101356080Marrow's first post on the board, and man, is it a tearjerker. Very powerfully written. Reads like a war crimes story or something. And it's like, normal. Or as normal as a group of non-normal looking mutants hiding out in the sewers of New York can be. And there's kids. BABIES even. It's a full fledged community under there, and she makes that clear in her interactions with her created NPCs. I also really like this Morlock argot she's got going. And then BOOM! Everything's gone. *goes off to find a kleenex*

I know this was supposed to be threatening, but I had to laugh out loud at this one.
Beautiful. Kudos to Silver Fox.

my goddess, I have to agree with Jubilee, Marrow's first post is fantastic! Amazingly written, beautifully done, very very emotive ^_^
Plus, I like Gehenna, 'cos it reminds me of Angel Sanctuary, 'swhere Kurai is from, and she's coooool. heh

I just caught up on a few scenes yesterday. I really like the Catastrophe thread in Triskelion between Creed and Kitty. I could say many things about it, the fact that first of all it's highly entertaining, and (out of character of course) Creed is one of my favorite characters on here. He's so well done with the antagonism and from what I can see he really pushes buttons of characters both in and out of character.
I love that! That's exactly the kind of character he should be!
But in this scene we are seeing a different side of the galoot.
The side that says there might be hope for him, no matter how slim it is. He has feelings for Callie, no doubt.
What a wonderful character development, and I applaud both Kitty and Creed for the way that scene is going.

I think it's really cute, love it to pieces,
especially when Creed had that thought about 'hold on to me and don't let go', very amusing.

Gotta agree about the Catastrophe thread. Wanna send out a huge applause to Logan and Creed on the fight scene. Talk about brutal! Was a real entertainin' read, and very wince-worthy.
Kudos, guys!
Also thought Chamber's post (Squad One) when he felt Logan's pain during the fight was extremely well written. Great job!

But I got really into that scene - so just to saying to the rest of you guys in it *glomp* it's a brilliant scene to play with you guys and you're all fantastic!
oooh, and yes, Chamber's scene was good! Bless 'im, poor dear

Thanks people! I love getting feedback on a scene. I wanted to add one last comment on that Catastrophe thread. That last post from Creed, this comment:
had me laughing very hard.

It's the Jerry Springer line that got *me*.
Or else, y'know, 18 or so years from now with the *kids* going on the show...
'My parents are mutants who were used in scientific experimentation: how it screwed up my life'.
