Aaaaannnnd moving on... Henry McCoy, how I love thee! ;D That little description just had me rolling! All Henry's words to Emma thus far have been so flustered and obvious and just totally perfect! Like this: Adore it! Also, regarding his return in general: my vote for the "most used line which everyone thinks themselves witty to use because they don't know they're not the only one to use it" (whew!) goes to...

He rose out of the pool on his ice sled again. "It just isn't a party unless someone gets naked." Ah, the wit and wisdom of Bobby Drake. That pretty much sums up the thread, doesn't it?

shouldn't you be worried that your younger brother could be scarred for life from that stunt?

He was fine. I watched him.
He totally had his eyes locked on a teeny-tiny red bikini.

okay, who replaced Kurt's brain - because I don't think I've *ever* heard him use the word "totally" in a sentence like that

I'm continually impressed with how Lockheed handles a non-speaking, non-humanoid character. Very entertaining.

Moving on from the shameless physical displays of Bobby Drake and Christine MacTaggart: This passage....and indeed the entire post from Dazz...impressed me immensely with its subtlety. As the odd trio made their way to the Institute, Ali couldn't help but be amazed. It wasn't so much a school as a friggin' mansion! The place was huge, ornate... Long drive, gates, big lawn that stretched beyond her view, and this was only the outside of the estate. Following Logan wordlessly, paying more attention to the surroundings than anything, it struck the young punk as an odd fit, gruff biker guy plus fancy mansion. This institute had to be somethin' else... The combination of internal thoughts and narrative is so freakin' good it looks easy.... Without a word, the punk leaned back, stretching out her lithe body and letting her arms stay crossed behind her head comfortably. Keeping the toe of one boot on the table, she pushed the chair back until it leaned on just the two back legs. Absolutely perfect for the surprise she didn't know was coming. Speaking of "absolutely perfect".... Setting us up for what the character doesn't know, foreshadowing, and describing a complicated setup all in just a few simple words. It might have been Thomas Edison who said essentially that genius is the art of making the complex look simple. I think we're in the presence of greatness.

I agree! I've been very impressed with how smoothly Ali just transitioned into an existing story. Not only that, but she's really fun to read! I thought the set up in the library thing was too good.

He smiled and decided to try to spell his Uncle Bobby's name. "B-o-o-...", he said softly to himself, "...b-y." He looked up at Christine with a very proud grin. That was just too great. Bamf is such a cute little character

Lockheed shrugged. Kirra was cool, but the blue thingie was evil. He tried to show her who was bugging him. He gestured for very small, then swished his tail, to show that the person had one. He jumped from one place on the table to the next, to show teleporting, then he stopped and looked at her expectantly. Bamf thinks purple dragon is evil. GO HOME, BARNEY!

Apparently her recently born kids. Kids he was supposed to know about... Oh non...Our loving cajun seems to have a certain ability for getting into some sticky spots, or at least thinks he does. And yet, throughout that whole post, he managed to say nothing that would upset most women. Beautiful, I must say.
