Sorry for the capitals, but the name just doesn't look as cool without it. ;D
OMG, did anyone see it yet? I just got back and it was totally awesome! Robert Downey Jr. was brilliant, of course I'm a huge fan anyway but I thought he did a great job as Tony! Some parts almost made me bust a gut laughing, which is always a good thing, and the action was awesome! Loved the progression of the suits!
So if you haven't seen it yet, go! And when you do, make sure to stay after the credits!

I had a bad fanboy moment after the credits. I whooped in a crowded theatre.
Total geekasm, that movie was, for the tiny Marvel fan in me and the tiny Engineer in me.

Eee, I know, right? RDJr is made of so much awesome. I was just having this conversation about how much he rocks with Dee to the Fer just yesterday. Then I convinced her to watch Only You, which is only my favourite chick flick ever.
And, OK, I have to ask because it's been bugging me for like a loooooong time now, so... what's with the invisibility? I mean, obviously you're not doing secret MOD stuff, and you posted so we know it's you so you can't be hiding, so why be invisible? I just totally don't get it. I am stumped! Stumped, I tell you! And possibly pumped up on lots of chocolate, but that's besides the point. ;D

I use to be invisible on all the boards I role played at. I don't have an explanation as to why, I really don't know. Maybe thought it was neat at the time. I changed it though. It really is rather ridiculous. So I am not visible now.

1 - when he first flies up to space with the suit, part of the display reads 'SR-71 Blackbird' - that's the X-jet!! MILITARY DORK MODE: ENGAGED The SR-71 was a spyplane used in the 70's and 80's until the reliable onset of spy satellites. It set all kinds of speed and altitude records, most of which are still classified. To this day, when former pilots are asked how fast it is, they will say, "Mach 3+" and giggle a little. The X-Men's Blackbird was more or less based upon it, if I remember right. With lots cooler stuff! MILITARY DORK MODE: DISENGAGED I took my kid to see it the other day. My older one, not the baby. We both loved it. I've even had friends who are not necessarily comic fans say they loved it. My son loved the robot that followed Tony around with the fire extinguisher, so much he built one out of Legos. He put it next to the Crow and Tom Servo he made. Still waiting for him to build Robby the Robot and Maximillian.
