Ahh yes..
I do so love Hugh but the fact that in the X movies he is taller than Storm (who should have never been Halle but this is probably not news to you lot) always made me twitch. Well.. a lot of things made me twitch but we've only got so much space allowed in these posts.
As for Watchmen..I am one of the rare comic nerds who hasn't yet read that...but I will probably see the movie anyways, if for nothing else the geeks will be out in force I wont feel out of my element ;D

You should read it! It's goooood. I can stand the first two X movies, but the third one almost makes me twitch out of my skin. Also I am banned from watching it with my sister because I bitch too loud. I did like the V for Vendetta movie makeover though. As long as I ignore Evie as much as possible.

Haven't read Watchmen?!? Blasphemy!
You must!
And I have my doubts about Origins. I saw what Deadpool is going to look like later on in the film. It isn't pretty. Even for Wade.

If Deadpool's gonna be in it, I really really hope they have someone witty and funny writing his quips.

They've got Ryan Reynolds playing him, so they were off to a good start. Then they....well...
I'd rather not get into it, lest I spoil things.

I know I know.. Bad comic nerd. But I rarely branch out from Marvel.. and anything that's really popular I have an auto-reject button for xD Must never conform!!!!1!one The main reason I'm seeing Origins (despite the X films...issues) is Gambit and what kind of fan wont go see it, if for nothing else the right to bitch about it afterwords? ;D

Exactly! That's half the fun of being a fan. We won't even go into how Movie!Jubes gives off *sparks*, shall we...? If you like vampires or the Godfather movies, I'd recommend Bite Club. It was fun, kinda gory. I'm almost waiting for them to make that into a movie. Vampires are in right now, thanks to Sparkly Shiny Special Boy.

Hey, at least you made it into the movies. There is zero Guthrie love out there in Movieland.

hehe Jake...
and I would so hope (please god) that there would be no offense taken here if I were to perhaps..now and again let my opinions of the sparkly speshul snowflake vampire be known....
;D
Of all the comic movies so far my favorite is probably Iron Man.. and it has absolutely nothing to do with nommy RDJ. Nope. Nada.

Vampires should not sparkle. Period. I'm a classicist. I like my vamps to burst into flames when they get into sunlight.
I was surprised by Iron Man. RDJ actually did a good job.
And I really enjoyed Sin City. Man. Hard to reconcile Kevin with Frodo though, haha. Had a lot of my fav big names in it too.

Agreed on the vampire front. I'll take Lestat over Edward anyday<3
I refused to watch Sin City on the moral ground that Frodo had to remain Frodo. I don't think seeing him eat - well you know, would ever leave my mind.
I did however like the Spirit.. cracktastical as it was <3

Haven't seen that yet. Is it worth it?
I like Interview, and even though I really like Townsend, I was bit disappointed by Queen of the Damned. I would have liked more Anne Rice movies though, but she's a bit of a controlling whackjob so it didn't surprise me that there weren't anymore.
Has anyone read her Jesus novel? No one I know has, and I don't want to spend the money myself.

I really enjoyed The Spirit, it was light hearted and v.funny ;D. Samuel L. Jackson alone makes it worth it. I love him in these sort of roles.
QoD was really an not that well made, even though I prefer Townsend to Cruise on the Lestat scale (for pretty obvious, and very shallow reasons)
And no.. I can't say that I have read her Jesus novel.... I didn't even know there was one....*investigates*

Anne Rice found God, baby! So she wrote a book about our Lord and Saviour. It's a trainwreck thought, really. Considering her so very manly vampires.
Oh, and the Maycraft witches. Now those books are pure crack, and some of it is very very awful.
Now I feel like pulling out Interview and watching it again. *sigh* Honestly though, I do love Claudia in that movie. But it does feel like they stuck Antonio Banderas in it just so they could have Antonio Banderas in their movie. Considering Armande's meant to be young, a teenager, and a redhead...
