OOC: My first RP post in ever so long - set slightly before Tony's group goes to the Savage Land
Athena settled down, knees tucked tightly under her chin as she watched Tony pace back and forth. "You're going to burn a hole in the carpet, Sir," she said softly, her blue eyes tracking him. "And Pepper just had that carpet installed just this morning." She glanced away after she spoke, her attention having been caught by the latest headline of the day. She silently stood and made her way over to the table where the paper sat. She picked it up slowly and began to read it, her eyes narrowing slightly as she read the latest reports.
"Sir, with all due respect, when the hell are we going to start fighting back?" she asked, slamming the paper down to the table. "I'm sick of reading about another family being destroyed by these monsters." Never mind that she herself was gifted, but her loyalty was to the ones that saved her, the ones dubbed inferior - but inferior how? She failed to understand the supposed logic - and the bare hint of some long forgotten memory, some long forgotten dream flickered in her damaged mind. Her blue eyes were flashing and the fragile glass in the windows behind Tony was starting to dance within the frames.
The Look in Tony's eyes caused her to settle back down, the windows finally not in danger of shattering.
"So, what's the game plan?" she asked, her eyes widening as Pepper walked into the room, holding some sort of dress. "Oh, no. Oh, no, no," Athena started, backing up slowly. "We are not having one of those fancy dinner parties so you can smooze with the press and elite just so you can get the latest information, Sir. Oh, no, no. I'm not dressing up in that," she said, her back meeting the wall. Curse the headband for keeping most of her powers in check, couldn't telekinetically slip out of the room with it on.

It was later that evening that found Athena glaring daggers at the wall, having purposely decided to stand there instead of mingling like Tony wanted her to. Her arms were crossed and she was glaring at anyone who ventured too close to her. Damn Tony. Thankfully, Pepper was keeping her eye on him so he wasn't going to get too terribly drunk. She sighed quietly and pushed away from the wall, finally giving in and deciding to mingle. She'd mingle for a bit then claim exhaustion and retire to bed.
Oh, now what was being discussed over there? She caught something about a Savage Land? Interesting. She made her way over, keeping eeriely quiet and listened. She blinked her blue eyes, having caught sight of the man approaching Tony. She moved away from the more fascinating conversation to intercept, as she had been taught by Tony.
"May I help you?" she asked politely, staring up at the man with large blue eyes. "You would be?" she prompted. No-one got to Tony without going through her first - those where the rules at Stark Enterprises. People were often quite surprised by Tony's secondary bodyguard (the first being that legend, Iron Man himself. Not that Athena ever saw him around Tony so she dismissed that).
