"I thought yer might say that."
Jonothon drew his hand out of the pocket of his coat, bike keys shining dully in his hand.
"So, I took the liberty of picking his coat pocket. Jubes taught me how."

"You are evil and corrupting," Christine said with a giggle and a wide smile. "Which of us is driving Scott's bike?" she asked, tilting her head in question.

"I don't actually have a licsence, but I can drive," Jonothon admitted.
"I am not corrupting. I'm *educating*. There's a slight but subtle difference."

"I'm all in favor for a well-rounded education," Christine said, before climbing onto the back of the bike behind Jono. She wrapped her arms around his waist - "Just so I don't fall off, mind you."

"Course, pet. Anyway, our hearts belong to others, yeah? This is just friends on a night out...granted, one with more skin showing then yer'd usually expect, but just friends."
Jonothon kickstarted the bike, and they roared out the gate.

"Yes, this should be fun. Of course, I'll leave you to explain to Paige - for the most part," she said. "And I'll explain to Kurt - if when he returns and finds out about this..."

(Whoops. Backtracking a bit. Sorry!)
Scott had been completely at a loss for words through their entire exchange. He had finally given up on his feeble protests, though, and threw up his hands.
"Fine. You're a big girl, do what you feel like."
He turned a withering eye to Jono.
"Keep an eye on her, and stay out of trouble."
He stomped off in a huff, until he heard the familiar roar of his Harley-Davidson Springer Softail. His hand reflexively went to his coat pocket, which found nothing but lint.
Racing to the door, he could just see the taillight of his bike as it left the gate, and turned onto Greymalkin Lane.

Christine was laughing and buried her head into Jono's back. "I think our Fearless Leader just discovered his missing keys," she said. "How bad do you think our lecture is going to be?"

"Shockin' 'orrible," Jonothon said as he leant into a turn.
"Tune out, it's wot I always did with Bansh. Can't quite manage that wit' Emma, but yer know...Cyke's ain't a teep either. Next stop, the Garret."

"Well, he lectures us.. I get even.. Ever have the 1812 overture played in your head 24/7? And with real working cannons?" Christine asked, all too innocently.

Jonothon thought about that for a few moments.
"Yer could really give Emma a run fer her money in sheer evil, yer know that, pet?"

"Never really understood why Xavier thought he could trust her...not really."

"Maybe she reformed?" Christine ventured. "I don't know. I'm sure I don't want to be in the same building if she and Mum both see Sean. That would be messy."

"Messy was Jean, Scott and Emma in the same room," Jonothon corrected.
"Never understood that, never will."
