The world has changed... again. How? Why? That remains to be seen, all we know is what we see, the past fading like a dream in the morning - for some. The world we now live in has always been, but never was, it's all a matter of perspective. Teams? A thing of the past (or is that future?) All that remains is the Xavier Institute, run jointly by Charles Xavier and his long-time friend Erik Lensherr, a safe haven for mutants to come together, control their powers and learn without the threat of prejudice or discrimination. Mutants have only recently been outed - no big spectacular announcement, simply a slow revelation of their existance. The backlash has not been too severe - yet. They are feared, misunderstood, but not attacked, the world is still getting used to their presence. But there's more important things to worry about. Like where those strange dreams are coming from, why the world doesn't quite fit in with what you might remember, and why do you keep meeting people who seem to already know you? When the universe has shattered this many times, it's bound to get put together more than a little bit wrong. It's a confusing world, but someone has to live in it. Welcome to X(R)Evolved.
