At least he didn't mention Lila. She's a nice girl and all but...
Tabitha chuckled, "Yeah, Kurt'd have to 'port, like, a millions times to get here. Plus, I don't know if he'd condone the kind of things that we'd be getting into."
Tabitha smiled at the thought of her and Sam hitting up the clubs, going to the beach and... Oops. She realized how he must be thinking that she was on the prowl and making a long distance booty call. Their innocent conversation had taken an entirely different route. They hadn't talked in ages and here she was being a tease.
She didn't want to scare him off and added, "You know, Kurt probably wouldn't like parties and clubs and things, being a priest and all."

"Yeah, Kurt'd have to 'port, like, a millions times to get here. Plus, I don't know if he'd condone the kind of things that we'd be getting into."
Sam nearly choked when he heard that. He did his best to gain his composure, but was having a difficult time with it to be honest. Just what she meant by that comment he wasn’t exactly sure, but it seemed pretty sure fire that she meant something mischievous. It wasn’t exactly uncharacteristic of her by a long shot. Tabitha always had been a flirt, and far as Sam could tell probably always would be.
Still, it was the ‘things we’d be getting into’ comment that really had Sam’s undivided attention. He was just about to say something about that when she chimed in again.
"You know, Kurt probably wouldn't like parties and clubs and things, being a priest and all."
It would have been a lie to say that he wasn’t a little disappointed. But he cleared his throat. “Right.” Sam looked out his window. “I reckon I could fly there. That is, if they have any spare rooms lyin’ around. Last minute with no reservations...where’m I gonna sleep?”

"What kind of friend would I be if I made you stay on the street?" Tabitha asked faking hurt feelings. "You can stay in my room on the condition that you keep your freezing feet off of me. Or you can sleep on the floor since Mama Guthrie raised a gentleman. That part is entirely up to you."
Tabitha laughed to herself at that one. She was really flirting now. She had almost forgotten how fun it was to put the heat on Sam. She began to realize that she had missed him more than she originally thought.
Sam was really a great guy. Really, no other man had treated her any better than Samuel Guthrie. How did she repay him? She started seeing one of his best friends. She was so used to being used and betrayed that she didn't realized that's what she had actually done herself. It made her sad, but she knew deep in her heart that if Sam never forgave her, she could understand.

Congratulations to the new Meltdown! Though we all want to see what happens to poor naive Sammy boy and his cold feet, I think the sample post went very well and it's my pleasure to welcome you on board. Now we're a few mods short of a full deck (or something like that) right now, but we will be working tirelessly behind the scenes to get you up and ready to go in the current alternate universe. Keep an eye on the 'Declassified' section.
