"Argggaaahh!" Warren growled through his teeth forcing himself up.
His face muscles tensed as he slowly heaved himself up. Warren thought himself to be pretty strong, and he was; but at this moment he felt like he was trying to lift a ton of bricks.
At last he was up, well, he was on his hands and knees but that was all he could muster. His breathing was labored as sweat rolled across his face and dripped to the ground.
At last he heard it... the fading rumble of Megatron's last step... the sound of death. The intense silence between realities when the world seems to slow beyond a snails pace. A shadow crept over and engulfed him. He released a breath that he didn't realize he ever had.
He didn't look up. He didn't look to the sides. He stared at the pavement below him at arms length. He didn't have to see it to know a giant foot loomed overhead. Images of his mom and dad's death filled his memory.
I'm comin,' was all that he could think. He'd learned to live on without them, but now he felt closer to them than the day they each died.
"Time to put you on ice, Decepticon!"
It was like someone yelling through a megaphone in his face. Bobby's words broke the silence snapping Warren back into reality. The world sped up back to its normal rapid in-the-heat-of-battle pace.
The shadow was thrown off of Warren. He looked to the side and saw Bobby in his ice slide pelting the giant death-bot with ice. It howled with rage and anguish as Bobby continued mercilessly.
Warren watched in awe as Bobby circled Megatron not letting up. It was beautiful.
The ice started caking on to the metal hide. The metal moaned in protest at Megatron's movements to stop the merciless assualt.
I don't believe it! He's slowing down! We're winning! "Bobby! Don't let up! Cold is his weakness... you're his weaness!" Angel yelled with renewed energy.
A few moments longer and Megatron was iced. They made sure he was down for the count. "God, I love you!" Warren said in one big exhausted breath.
