Angel
Warren sat under a tree wrapping his arms around his legs pulling them closer to his chest. He was sitting close to a mountain side cliff overlooking his chalet. He didn’t know if it was his inability to sleep or if his emotions were running high from everything that happened recently. Whichever, he found this sunrise particularly calming.
The sky was alive with different hues of color. The rich orange was slowly taking over the indigo blue as the sun peeked over the horizon. He stretched his wings as morning’s first light finally reached him. He immediately felt warmer as his wings absorbed the heat and spread it throughout his body.
Deciding to go back to his chalet he stood up and walked to the edge of the cliff. He looked below and saw that it would be a long fall to hit the ground. He inched over the edge letting his toes dangle. He folded his wings and leaned. In a split second he was falling head first to the ground. The wind flew fiercely through this hair and against his skin and cloths. Falling as far as he dared he quickly spread his wings and stopped his descent flying toward his chalet.
