Clarissa Barton was just another refugee. An orphan who found herself in a world without parents. Normally, the relearning and placement process went so smoothly. But not with Clarissa. Not with all the screaming.

Nine year old Callie, as she came to be called, was given a perfect life, loving and wealthy adoptive parents, of course the best school in the area, and plenty of friends. Emma, her new mother, worked hard to make her daughter's life a happy one.

But it isn't easy. And it's troublesome that no matter how hard Emma tries, Callie can be sullen and withdrawn. Despite her best efforts, Callie still insists on finding solace in her imaginary friend.

Still, she's barely even aware of the darkness lurking under the surface of her parents' perfect marriage. She rarely has the dreams.

Personality: Like many children, Callie's personality is ever changing, though on the whole she's a serious, intelligent child, but who's quick to anger and throw tantrums or sulk. It's rare for her to be overly cheerful, unless around her imaginary friend, though it does happen.
Powers: Callie's powers haven't developed yet.
Other Abilities: She can definitely wrap her mummy around her little finger, and a lot of other people besides - she's an intelligent child, smart enough to notice what gets results
Limitations: She's nine. That comes with all sorts of limitations, her powers not being developed yet, her height, no fighting skill whatsoever (apart from biting of course), and the tendency for adults to patronise or not believe anything.

Hobbies and Pastimes: Callie loves to draw, and play with dolls - it's a pleasure to watch her, as long as you're not too close to hear what she's playing. She also likes to spend a lot of time with her best friend, even if mummy doesn't really approve.
Background: Callie was already six when she was found and rescued from her life as the child of Homo Inferior.
Her parents had clung desperately to having a mutant child, as if it would somehow make them better, but at the same time they rejected her, and the dual nature of their feelings had left the poor child confused. Not that Callie really remembers them, or what happened just after she was taken away to safety, even three years on.

Mrs Frost was her mummy now, and that was all that mattered, she had a wonderful life, but sometimes, she finds herself being mistrustful, and she gets upset easily.
At least Mister Fuzzy is there to help her.
