Anna Davis knew what it was like to be lonely. The abilities that made her what she was had long made it necessary for her to push others away. It made it easier to be a warrior, to channel her life into something bigger than herself...to push away the longing to be held...to be touched.
Until the accident.
It didn't matter how the human woman got her powers. It only mattered that she was human. Anna didn't question any of her orders, it was right what they were doing. It was right that the humans were purged.
But now that the woman was dead, now that her power surged in Anna's body....a sliver of doubt came along with her memory.
