Nick Fury knew that despite the overwhelming odds and the powers arrayed against them, the most important battle the human forces faced was in the mind. It was their most important ally. Their most important weapon.
It sometimes seemed like there were six of him. Leading charges. Bringing reinforcements. Airdropping weaponry. He was everywhere and all at once.
He was the most recognizable human face of the resistance, and the most elusive target. Somehow, some way....he always got away. Whether the enemy knew his name or not Nick didn't care. They knew his face, they remembered him...and when they saw him he made sure Fury was what they felt.
