He was scum. He knew it, and everyone else did too.
But scum rose to the top of the other sludge, and that was fine by him.
The way Carl Denti saw it, he really didn't have much choice. Him or them. Survival of the fittest.
It would have never occurred to him that gathering poor lost souls and selling them for his own profit was wrong...
