Guido Carosella was the most dangerous man alive.

It said so on his business card.

As the head honcho of the IBC (International Broadcasting Corporation), Guido controlled what went out over the airwaves, what was in print, what was on the silver screen. Trace the companies in charge of every newspaper, television, radio and publishing company out there. All of it. His.

An entourage catered to his every whim. And I mean every. Just look at the babes he's got working for him. That chick with the purple hair? Hot.

Anyway, he knew how to dance a fine line...putting out just what the public wanted. And he knew how to stay just this side of what would get him in trouble with the king.

I gotta tell ya, that takes some really big...

...arms.

There wasn't supposed to be any resistance - and Magneto's word was law, but that didn't stop brilliant "rumor" shows like Guido's "X-Factor" from being almost as hot as that chick with the purple hair.

All this, and he was a hell of a professional wrestler.

Physical Description: An unusual percentage of body mass is concentrated in the upper half of Guido’s body, mostly in his arms and upper torso. He is bald, with only a long shock of whitish hair growing out of his forehead. He wears a modified set of sports goggles, as he long ago gave up on regular glasses and can’t bring himself to wear contacts.
Personality: On the surface, Guido is very outgoing and friendly, with a kind of overpowering, larger than life presence. He has a quick, ready smile and a razor-sharp sense of humor, and knows exactly what to say when in front of a camera. All of this conceals a VERY short fuse connected to a volatile, murderous temper.
Powers: Kinetic Energy Absorption: Guido has the mutant ability to absorb kinetic energy from blows from blunt objects and similar impacts. This energy is fed into his already superhuman sized muscles, which grow to accommodate the new energy and add to his strength. He can normally press around 50 tons, and his power can increase that amount to an unknown level. Guido has not yet gauged the upper limits of his power, as the energy absorption process is extremely painful for him and he has no idea what would happen if his muscles became totally saturated. Guido’s thick muscles also provide good protection against slashing and piercing attacks, and even renders him impervious to gunfire and explosives.
Other Abilities: Guido is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, using mainly streetfighting techniques and his skills as a professional wrestler. He is the president of the International Broadcasting Company, a worldwide media organization sanctioned by Magneto. Guido has complete autonomy over the world's news and entertainment, answerable only to Magneto himself.
Limitations: Guido cannot store absorbed kinetic energy for very long before his body begins to permanently distort. He must therefore expend it within 90 seconds of absorption, usually by striking a target with his fists. Guido’s mutation causes him constant physical pain, which intensifies if he is actually absorbing energy. Guido is also nearsighted, and must wear corrective lenses.

Hobbies and Pastimes: Guido's recreational activities would make a Roman orgy look like an amateur poetry reading. He is in the thick of the Hollywood social scene, and his appetites for wine, women and song are the stuff of legends.
Background: Life got a whole lot easier after a young Guido Carosella turned his family in to the Human Control Authority. Come on, did they think nobody noticed the humans coming and going in the middle of the night? Guido had big plans for his future wrestling career, and living in a houseful of flatscan traitors didn't help a bit.

Sure enough, once Guido exposed his family's role in human smuggling, he began to get top billing in the biggest wrestling events in the country. The crowd loved him. Guido was a natural showman, and knew exactly what the crowd wanted. It wasn't long before he began to branch out into television and movie appearances, and his grinning mug was recognized all over the world.

Even Magneto, who had not the slightest interest in wrestling or movies, knew of him, and saw the yet-untapped potential.

And now, Guido heads the largest media company in the world, putting out the good word and once again giving the people what they want.
