Lorna Dane was the envy of her society. She was beautiful. She was the emperor's daughter. She commanded abilities that showed the promise of being every bit as powerful as Magneto's. And she, being oldest, was his most likely successor.
But Lorna was a child of happenstance. Abandoned by a father who hadn't known he had sired a daughter. Long forgotten until mandatory genetic testing proved her lineage. She learned who her father was. She learned she had a sister.
Wanda, too, learned late in life that her father was the king. Only Wanda, and her brother Pietro, were children of love and not chance. Though he was kind to each of them, there was something very different in the way he looked at Wanda.
