OMG, HAS EVERYONE SEEN THIS YET?
I know I said all the spoilers, but posting specific spoilers would involve thinking and beyond just going "omg, this was so freaking amazing!" I really can't write much of a coherent post. Like at all. Honestly, I'm just so in love with this cast, and these characters and this movie and just so much love!
See it now!

It was a fantastic movie. Better than the four movies that made it. The entire last hour was nothing but a long fight scene, but it was paced so beautifully and so well that it didn't seem like it.
It managed, in two hours and twenty minutes, to cover more of the basics of what the Avengers are than Bendis did in the whole of Ultimates Volume One. And Bendis was good. Stay after the credits. And then stay after the other credits. Yeah. It's got two sequel hooks.
It was much appreciated, and I have but one thing to say in conclusion (you'll have to see it to know): Oh. So that's what it does.

Saw it twice this last weekend. Very pleased with it. I still can't quite stop laughing at the Hulk.
minor revision: Mark Millar was responsible for Ultimates. Bendis did Ultimate Spider-Man.

I saw it at midnight with my fiance. Sneaking out of my mom's house was so worth it!
Perfect mix of drama, action, and comedy.
Still laughing over the Hulk's cheap shot on Thor. Completely out of the blue and just freaking perfect timing.
Excellent casting, too.
"If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now."
It's rare I use the word 'perfect' to describe a movie, but The Avengers is about as close to a perfect movie as you can get.

I’ve never really been a Hulk fan, “brilliant scientist gets angry and turns into big green monster” just never did it for me, but in Avengers I loved not only Bruce (who Ruffalo played perfectly, might I add) but the Hulk as well. The added humour helped, I think, or maybe he benefitted by being part of a team instead of carrying a whole movie alone, I don’t know, but even the CGI didn’t bother me like it did for Bana’s Hulk.
There were so many laugh out loud moments in this film, and even though the last 45 minutes were pretty much just one huge fight scene it didn’t get tiring to me, I enjoyed every minute of it. And even with all that action there were still a lot of great character moments, even some character development which is quite a feat with such a large cast to share the screentime around.
I just really loved it and am totally going to see it again soon.

*wikis Brian Michael Bendis*
Sure enough. He also did Ultimate Fantastic Four, Ultimate Six, and a couple of other Ultimate titles, so I guess my confusion came from there.
I don't know about everywhere else, but down here the showings of Avengers are still being sold out. My sister-in-law wanted to see it when she came home from college, but the earliest showing that still had tickets around here was at 8:50PM, and it didn't have many left.
Hulk vs. Loki is still my favorite fight in the whole movie. Loki w/his super-powerful alien artifact vs. the most powerful being on Earth. It was epic.

I saw it again today in 3D (at about 11AM) and there were about 8 of us in a fairly massive auditorium. I actually got to hear the Hulk's line to Loki that time. I'm still baffled that most everyone leaves before the credits. I've caught a few grateful people and said "Ummm....there are TWO extra scenes..."

I stay until I am absolutely sure there's nothing left. Unless I've seen it before and really need the bathroom.
What *does* Hulk say to Loki after flinging him around like a ragdoll? I was laughing too hard to hear him.....
Although, I think I missed an extra scene.... we left after Red Skull showed up. Oh well. I doubt my fiance will argue with seeing it again the next time I get a day off.... which'll probably be next month sometime.

Hulk says "Puny god".
And that's not the Red Skull....it's much worse.
It's Thanos.

I just wish they weren't so expensive. I want them all but will probably never own any of them unless I like win the lottery or something. Or get a huge raise. Or like a new job that pays even more. That one is probably the most likely. Or I could marry someone rich and he could buy my love with geek toys. And expensive vacations. And... what was my point again?
Oh, Avengers DVD is already set to release in like September and I think it's gonna have a blooper reel. I hope it has like a huge mass cast commentary, or really anything with this cast cause they're just brilliant and all their interviews are hilarious and they just seem like they had a total blast with this. So hopefully we get lots of behind the scenes extras.
