Lydia Joan Taylor grew up in Caldecott County, Mississippi with her parents Michelle and Jon Taylor. Her neighbor, Cody, was her best friend. Growing up with him since she was little-bitty, he began teaching her diferent styles of fighting in their free time. Versed in the ways of Ninjitsu to Tae Kwon Do and street, the young adults began to gorw infatuated with each other.
Continuing to lead a normal child's life until the age of 16, Lydia was invited by Cody to the Prom. Caught up in the moment, and each other, the couple kissed for what hadn't been the first time, only adding more shock to the moment Cody froze up and fainted plainly on the floor, leaving Lydia with his memories of their childhood. Scared for her life, she dashed from the enraged crowd, running home to the safety of her parents, they kept her secret, saying that the boy just had a heat stroke in the dazzling lights.
Once awoken from his coma, Cody confronted a frightened Lydia, pinning her wrists to her sides to talk civilly to her. When she explained her now apparent mutant abilities, he reacted unexpectedly. He forgave and accepted her. However, he was the only one... Finding it better to leave the town after highschool, Lydia and Cody gave a tearfull goodbye before the family left Caldecott not to return.
After highschool, Lydia found herself traveling to a fine arts school, finishing with a degree in fashion. During college, she ran into Carol Danvers, absorbing her ability to fly and other plusses in a tight situation. However, she had to take a sick leave to deal with the voices in her head for a week after.
Now, she runs her own clothes line called "Joan-Taylor" and with the help of her friend and model, Lena Katrina, she became a well known designer. Her gloves, hair and scarf are always with her, protecting the outside world from her mutant powers, but no one ever thinks that it's anything but a fashion statement.
At age 22, her co-worker/secretary found out she was a mutant and tried to kill her resulting in her own death. Escaping from the exploding car, Lydia went back to her house, finding her parents shot to death. In dispair, she left under the guise that she had died in the accident as the secretary's body was unidentifiable. Now she's works at Dick's Fix It shop, has three tatoos and is prepared to pay back the humans that killed her in any way possible.

Now a member of the Acolytes, her name changed to Anna Davis, the woman passed through several trials of new friends with non-existant memories, hit and runs, and other not so promising ordeals. Fighting through them, she finally seems to be settled with just who she is and what she wants. Leaving her old job at the cycle-shop, Anna headed in town and began working at a club, the music cooling her head and the crowd absorbing her into their group immediately, loving her and her brilliant personality.
