Given Name: Japheth
Codename: Maggott
Age: 18
Detailed Description of Powers: His digestive system replaced by a hollow cavity that houses a pair of semi-sentient slugs which he named Eany and Meany. The wounds made by his slugs heal almost instantaneously, though they cause him a great deal of pain
He also ha an unexplained psychometric power enables him to draw psychic imprints from his environment, replaying in his mind's-eye events which once took place in his general vicinity

Physical Description:
Height: 6’8”
Weight: 350 lbs
Hair Color: White
Eye Color: Brown
Skin Color: Blue/Brown
General Description of Maggott: There is no other way to say it – Maggott is a big guy. Tall and muscular, he towers about a head over most people on the street. He has a muscular body, but is far from being ripped like Guido is, even though he does share the same hair style, which he usually keeps clipped to the side. When hungry, or having gone a long time since releasing Eany and Meany, his skin will be a normal African American brown. After having absorbed energy from the slugs, however, Japheth will turn a bright stunning blue color that seems to glow.
When at the Institute, Maggott usually just shirks wearing a shirt all together, and just dons a loose open jacket. Perhaps for easy slug release. Besides this, it’s just pants and fingerless gloves.
General Description of Eany and Meany: Eany and Meany are the semi-sentient slugs who live inside of Maggott. They are about the size of small dogs, and exactly identical. They both have 3 red eyes and are made out of a shiny metal-like material. As means of locomotion, they crawl or jump. The slugs can make soft noises, that sound surprisingly like cooing. Eany and Meany can often be found, when out of his stomach, crawling on Japheth. He talks to them as if they were pets, and has been known to strike up long conversations with them.
Personality: For a guy with a slug digestive system, Maggott is surprisingly outgoing and flirtatious. He will talk rapidly and animatedly with anyone, weather they want the conversation or not. The one subject he refuses to go into though, is his past. He can be flirtatious to an outrageous extent, and sometimes cross the line between acceptable and unacceptable. He is truly very shy around people, fearing rejection because of his absurd powers. He has to make up constant excuses not to eat with others. Japheth treats his slugs like pets. They are the ones he confides in when something is wrong, and his constant companions. If slugs could, Eany and Meany would have degrees in psychiatry from listening to Maggott.
Bio: The Japheth grew up in South Africa; to be more precise, in Ottoshoop. Seven people lived in the house he grew up in – next to the parents it was Japheth and his four brothers. Lot was his oldest of the boys; he liked shooting photos and was the closest thing Japheth had to a hero besides their father. The youngest of the siblings, Daniel, idolized the older Japheth very much, despite the fact that Japheth was a rather sickly child and, at the age of twelve, still smaller than Daniel. As his belly grew to abnormal proportions, the doctors thought he had stomach cancer. His dad worked hard in the gold mines to make a living for his family and to pay for the medical bills, but it wasn’t enough.
One night, Japheth overheard his mother praying. She prayed to God to take Japheth soon, not only for his sake, but theirs as well. Japheth understood that he was like a cancer to his family - as most of the money was used to pay for his special protein meal, the rest of the family didn’t have enough to eat. Right then and there, he decided to end his life and all their misery. The next morning, he stole the family jeep and went off to fulfill his mother’s request. He drove into the middle of the Kalahari Desert until the jeep ran out of fuel, and wanted to wait for his death, far away from his family.
However, his younger brother Daniel stowed away in the back of the jeep. Japheth tried to save his brother – who didn’t realize the scope of it and thought everything was a big adventure. It didn’t even take an hour before the brothers had exhausted themselves so much they could walk no more. Then, lightning crossed the sky and a man that looked to the brothers like an angel of wrath or the devil himself appeared from the dust cloud he had created. The man’s name was Magneto and when he laid hands upon Japheth, he caused Japheth’s nerves to stop feeling the pain, and he helped two giant slugs to erupt out of his stomach, the hole sealing off behind them instantly.
Magneto stayed with the young boys for the entire night and told Japheth about his beliefs, and about how one day, mutants would rule the earth. He didn’t understand that much of it, except that his slugs had one single function – to eat. While they did so, Japheth’s skin turned blue and he felt stronger and better than ever before. Magneto then returned the two boys to their home near Ottoshoop. When they arrived back, there was a riot going on. To show Maggott the superiority of the Mutant race, Magneto took him to the scene of the conflict, where he promptly killed all of the opposing soldiers. Japheth was disgusted and upset. Magneto left, promising that one day Maggott would see the superiority of the Mutants over Humans.
While the crowd still celebrated their victory, Japheth’s father came to him to hold him close. Japheth yearned for his comfort, but it was denied to him as the slugs re-entered his body the first time. Whenever it’s time for them to pass on what they have eaten, the energy Japheth needs to live, they go back inside his body - by eating their way through his stomach foreskin. It‘s a rather painful process, and unfortunately Japheth has to endure it about five times a day
Not much else is of interest for the next few years of his life. He did contemplate suicide a few times, due to the unbearable pain caused by his slugs being. The situation at home took a turn for the worse, and the people of his town started to fear the mutant boy in their midst. He did a short stint in indentured servitude. It was during this time he picked up the codename Maggott.
He hopes to join up with the X-men.
