Name: Tiffany Huntly
Codename: Infern-O-Wisp
Age: 17
Originally from: Los Angeles, California.
Known Family: Mother- Melanie Huntly and Father- Christopher Huntly.
Physical Description-
Height: 5’ 8”
Weight:120 lbs
Eyes: Green
Hair: Strawberry Blond
Build: Slim and Slender
Personality: Bubbly, Gabby, Privileged. She spends time worrying about her hair and what the boy sitting next to her thinks. She is flippant and dense. Though there will be times that Tiffany will break this sheen of stupidity, only to get embarrassed and chalk it up to accident.
Average Look: Tiffany is obsessive about her appearance. Makeup and high heels are almost always on her body. She will never wear anything that doesn’t make it so, painfully, clear that she is a girl. Skirts and tank tops too tight are a good bet.
Hobbies: Tiffany has a love for her violin. It is a talent she has hidden since she first picked it up when she was little. She could never imagine what her friends would think if she was a band loser. So, she hides it away, playing at night or practicing when alone. In-fact, her violin was one of the only things that survived the fire that burnt down her home when her powers manifested.
Powers: Pyrokinesis-Control over fire.
Manifestation: A small, flaming orb, a wisp, whom she has named “Flicker”. It is about the size of a softball, perfectly round, and with fire trailing up to a point about 5 inches above the crackling center. There is no residue flame and will never jump to any spot unless “Flicker” has actively touched it. It all reforms into the wisp when the desired effect has been achieved. “Flicker” can also increase or decrease in intensity, often used as a way to express “emotion”.
Uses: “Flicker” can instantly ignite anything it touches, as well as change its shape in order to engulf a certain mass within its flame. Tiffany can also, by taking hold of the orb, cause the flame to expand over her like a second skin.
Limitations: Tiffany doesn’t believe she is in control of her powers, devoting all of it to “Flicker”. She believes it has a mind of its own and that she cannot actually force it to do anything. Therefor, all of the goodwill between them comes from Tiffany’s belief that “Flicker” wishes to protect her.
Other: Tiffany has a fear of being different, and being a mutant would be the utter definition of that. That is where “Flicker” came from, it is her way of explaining away her powers. Her own mind’s fear created the creature in order to save Tiffany from coming to terms with her gifts. Because of that, she believes “Flicker” is some annoying fairy...and she will not be convinced otherwise. She has always talked to the “Flicker”, but obviously it looks a bit one sided.
Bio: Tiffany is from a rich upper class home, furnished by her dad’s money. Her father, Christopher “The Rock” Huntly, is never around, a business man with no time for silly things like family. That has left her with the raising from her mother, Melanie, a socialite trophy wife who would rather see her daughter on the cheerleading squad than the honor roll.
Tiffany didn’t have a chance.
Her life was fairly ordinary. She was an average student, but popular. She surrounded herself with banality, with people who were going no where. And she was happy. Tiffany truly was happy to just be average, to be the middle of the curve. Actually, she got embarrassed being anything else.
So in her own way, Tiffany hid herself. She hid herself under layers of friends, and drama, and sub-par performance, and popularity.
Because in fact, when all eyes really were on her. She hated it.
Well...all except the eyes of Bradley Kramer from her Spanish class. She was turned into the school girl she already was around this boy. Gooey eyes, hair flips, batted eyelashes, pouty lips, forced laughter. It was all there, and such a disaster just waiting to happen.
That disaster came on the day of May 12th 2005, in which her and her friends all had a little party. It was a party themed around séances. She learned that Bradley had an obsession with the occult and was all too excited to jump on that bandwagon to try and impress him.
Sadly, with the excitement of being around her crush mixing with the internal terror created by convincing oneself of the damned, her adrenalin started pumping.
It only took a moment more before her powers started to manifest. Suddenly, as excitement coursed through her, fire started to jet up from the board, flying and coating the room in the orange glow.
The teenagers screamed and all but Tiffany got out. Tiffany was trapped within the inferno, the building, the home, collapsing about her as the fire she had created raged out of control. Yet, she was untouched.
It was in that blaze that “Flicker” was formed. It was there to explain away the fire, to explain away her powers, to explain away her survival. In a pool of her own tears, Tiffany finally looked up to see not only the mansion as a black and charred mockery of its former glory, but the orb of flame floating infront of her. She watched that little break in her own psyche.
She didn’t scream, because in the back of her mind, she knew what it was.
When her parents came home...it obviously didn’t go well. It took only a few expert opinions before the diagnosis was clear. Tiffany was a mutant, and a fairly unstable one at that. The whole Huntly family was appalled, maybe Tiffany more than the rest of them. Her parents couldn’t take the responsibility though, her father only imagined what kind of business people would do with someone who’s daughter could set their house on fire.
No.
They sent her off to Xavier’s school for “Gifted” youngsters, a place Tiffany doesn’t think she needs to be. Yet her things were all packed up and she was shipped off through private flights. The entire way she felt like the freak she was, her parents having done all they could to try and make sure no one saw her or her...pet.
