She didn't understand what Jubilee was talking about, but this sounded suspiciously like stealing to Wanda. However she had already sworn herself to follow Magneto, and he seemed to be in need of whatever was being held by this Xavier.
She would go where he told her to go.

X-23's eyes widened, the hair on her arms prickled, and she froze. The Xavier mansion?! She quickly realized her stance and collected herself unnoticably.
She had attacked the mansion herself some time ago. Out of confused anger towards Logan. The job had been moderately easy, but Logan and she had formed a sort of truce after that. But the obvious leader of the group mentioned the mansion was empty. Perfect. I won't see any of them, they won't see me, everything goes on that situation as is.
She looked up, listening partly on him and partly on the rest of the room.

Something seemed off about Havok, and when he responded to Remy’s little joke, the Cajun couldn’t help but feel that he had, once again, put his foot in his mouth. Not sure what to say, he instead turned his attention to the boss’s conversation with Wanda and the one that called herself X-23. They both seemed to have the right idea.
Finally, all attention was drawn to Magneto as the real meeting began. His very presence demanded it, and Gambit leaned back in his chair a bit to get a better look at the imposing figure’s shadowed face as he addressed them all.
At the mention of the X-Men being captured, Gambit felt a pang of guilt. So many of them had accepted him into their home before, and this is how he repaid them?
Y’ fo’get, homme, dat most o’ dem prolly don’ even r’member y’. But does dat make it better? Logan saved y’r wretched life de ot’er night, an’ now he rottin’ in prison somewhere.
But despite the solidified friendship with the older X-Man, Gambit ignored these thoughts. After what the normal humans had done to ‘Lydia’, her family, Wanda... everyone, he had made a pact with himself to do whatever Magneto asked of him in this war.
Friendship got not’in’ t’ do wit’ business. Logan may be mon ami, but when he’s de Wolverine, den he’s de enemy. Besides, dis plan was set int’ motion long ago.
As Jubilee asked what it was they were looking to retrieve, Gambit guessed that he had a pretty good idea of some of it. Although they had state of the art technology at the base, it was surpassed by that of the Institute. And to get an inside look into the home of the enemy would prove invaluable.
“Dis gonna be a stealt’ mission? Cause I t’inkin’ dat if SHIELD already busted de place up an’ took everybody, dat we ain’ gonna have t’ worry ‘bout de security system,” he finally voiced. Not that he was suggesting making a statement. They should be as silent as possible, in case there were lurking soldiers around, but the mansion itself should be no problem.

In a not very uncharacteristic manner, Jubilee was the first to pipe up during the meeting. Magneto regarded his new officer appraisingly. "Correct," he said to her, "Any information which you find useful. And I encourage you all to be thorough. IF they know we have been there, so be it."
Though Magneto had more to his motive than he was communicating, he left it at that for now. In answer to Gambit's observation, he replied, "The school does have a security system, though you are right-it should be pretty well deactivated by Colonel Fury and his troops. If not, it is nothing that we should be concerned about. There are always ways around security systems."
There was not much left to talk about. "It is a straight-forward mission. Stealth will be somewhat important. If I am not mistaken, Fury will be watching the place, and though some of you have lethal powers, SHIELD is not a power you want to face off toe to toe." He grinned as he turned toward the door. "Especially when we are not the bad guys right now."
"We leave now. Gambit, get them ready."

Nodding at Magneto’s reply, Gambit found himself looking forward to this mission, despite his conflicting thoughts. When he was working, there wasn’t time to think of anything else. This would be a very welcomed distraction, and putting off the questions and apologies for as long as possible was a good thing in his book.
As Magneto threw out the comment about not being the bad guys, Gambit couldn’t help but mimic the grin.
“Right, dey got no reason t’ be after us. We ain’ done not’in’ wrong,” he said, enjoying the humour of the situation. Watching Magneto leave after throwing one last comment over his shoulder, the Cajun braced his hands on the table and pushed himself to his feet.
“Now dis’d be de time fo’ me t’ tell y’all t’ suit up, but it seems y’ already beat me t’ it,” he started, throwing one of his trademark grins to the occupants of the room, although not focusing on anyone in particular. “So if dere be no problems, an’ nobody wants t’ offer a pep talk, den what say we get a move on!”
"Innocent until caught," Jubilee amended Gambit's statement as she stood.
She laced her fingers together, twisting her hands to face palm out as she stretched them out above her heads. Something in her back or hands cracked audibly.
"Let's get going then. Wouldn't do to keep all those shiny things waiting."

Anna listened listlessly to Magneto's speech, and silently eyed his exit, continuing to sit through the better part of the Cajun’s moment of glory. Taking a few moments after Jubilee stood to compose herself before rising, she couldn’t help but snicker at the younger woman's comment, shaking her head.
Shiny... how intelligent soundin'.
Pushing against the edge of the table before her, she smoothly lifted herself off her chair, all other thoughts beside work tossed unceremoniously aside. Calling up an immediate switch between business associations and personal life, Anna’s persona quickly became that of a rogue, what she had been so rightfully named after. Standing a little straighter, she gave Gambit a wary glance, her gaze momentarily catching on his face, though she wasn’t sure if their eyes met of not because of his glasses.
With a deep sigh, she turned her gaze away from him and side stepped her chair to position herself behind it, her gloved hands on its backrest, toying distractedly with the fabric.
“The longer they wait, the more they rust,” Rogue grinned at her dab of jocular accord.

As Jubilee and Rogue spoke of ‘shiny things’, Gambit couldn’t help but grin and shake his head.
“Leave it up t’ a couple o’ femmes t’ turn dis int’ a shoppin’ trip,” he said, finally looking in their direction. If he could just hold up this sort of situation until after the mission, then he was sure he’d be ready for whatever they wanted to throw at him later. Be it figuratively or literally.
“Now, I can’t see us needin’ any weapons, but it don’ hurt t’ be prepared. So if y’ got anyt’in’ hidin’ under y’r mattresses dat can be easily concealed, now’d be de time to get it.”
Feeling he had done his part to rally the troops, Gambit turned away, and headed for the door.

X23 watch the two woman with a puzzled expression, having no idea what they where talking about whatsoever. She wordlessly looked over at the one called Gambit, he told them to bring along any weapons. A small smirk played her lips. A weapon? She was a weapon.
With a quiet Snkt! two blades ripped from between her knuckles. She looked down at her claws fondly with a grin. Like I need anything else.
Her two blades returned, she waited for Alex before continuing.

"Saving the world through shopping? Radical," Jubilee drawled, grinning slightly as she pushed her shades back up on her nose.
"Let's go, Roguey. Hey, Vapor! Rogue, you talked to Vapor yet? She's cool. Which reminds me...we have *got* to figure out a codename for Wanda."
She ran her fingers through her hair, seperating the silky fine strands through her fingers as she headed for the door after Gambit, heels of her boots hitting the ground confidently. She noted the blades that shot out from between X23's knuckles with barely a reaction on her face. Just like the Wolverine. Wolvie. Logan. Jesus. She had to stop having those dreams. At least the wrist sheathes hid the bandages, but they kinda hurt by pressing down on the wounds.
How the hell does a dream follow you into real life anyway?
"I like the red, btw. It's very much you. We should work with that. Red...crimson, incarnadine...scarlet."

Wanda looked at Jubilee strangely as they left the main hall. "Incarnadine?" the word felt strange to her. She had trouble pronouncing it anyway, so it was out of the question as a codename. "I like scarlet. It reminds me of a book I once saw in my mother's collection. Perhaps I shall call my self The Scarlet..." she thought for a moment about her powers.
Images of her childhood home came though her mind. She began to feel very ironic as she thought back to the accusations directed toward her by the villagers. "The Scarlet Witch." she smiled. "I think it's appropriate."

Vapor had been studying the situation at hand, the meeting, from Gambit's coy smile to X23's 'weapons'. That was until a familiar voice flew through the room to draw her attention. Casually lifting one brow over the rim of her tinted shades, Vapor turned her eyes over to Jubilee, studying her and the one called 'Rogue'. With a faint salute and smile, Vapor pushed herself from the wall and advanced toward the pair, not wanting to be directly in on their conversation.
"Hey, Jubilee." Not knowing the other's name, she simply nodded a greeting. "Hey."

Alex listened intently to Magneto's words, nodding in silence as the nature of the mission sank in. He rose from his seat at the end, after Remy and Jubilee had spoken their minds. Alex never spoke his mind. He hardly spoke at all during meetings. And even then only when he was spoken to.
He walked past Jubilee and Rogue, not making eye contact with either of them and simply walking towards the door.

"Hey!" Rogue waved at Vapor, giving the girl a soft smile.
Tossing Wanda an approving look at her new code name, she nodded to the group of women before taking her leave. "Ah'm gonna go get... mentally prepared. See yal gals in a little bit."
Heading for the door, she saw X-23 snap out her claws as if she had been attacked. Lowering her eyes to her own hands, she stepped to the door behind Gambit and Alex, silently wondering why Havok was ignoring her. Is he mad at me, too? Is it typical for men here to side with each other?
A little worried about the teamwork that they would have to make work, Rogue pulled the glove off of her right hand, tilting her head as she looked at the light pigment of her skin. Taking a deep sigh, she knew she'd never really need another weapon besides her own skin. As long as she had that, she was untouchable. Literally.

"Totally kicking, Scarlet Witch," Jubilee noted, grinning at Wanda.
"Rogue, Vapor. Celise, Anna. Having two sets of names makes things interesting, no?"
She flashed another cheeky smile, before heading over to Gambit. She gave him a slightly worried look, dipping her shades to show her blue eyes and letting him see her concern as the group of Acolytes left to follow Magneto.
"Nous parlerons ensuite. Je ne suis pas fâché à tu, tu sais. Juste à cette chose entière. Ne pas me partir seul, Remy. S'il vous plait?"
