((OOC: This is Taela's search thread. Roxy & Desperado can join in whenever, if they want.))
Taela prowled the halls, sniffing about and poking through the rubble. Kurama eventually relaxed enough to leave her back, prowling around on his own and chasing the rats and chipmunks that had come in since Scott's emitters, and in places large chunks of wall, had been taken out. Taela figured Kurama probably took out the emitters himself. It seemed almost like a great joke to him to gnaw off a chunk of emitter wire and tote it back to Scott like a prized kill. Of course, Taela's first idea was to wander up and check on her room. She especially wondered if her trunk, the only luggage she ever owned or needed, turned out to be as bombproof as they claimed it was. She glanced back just for a moment to see if anyone had decided to follow her while Kurama attempted, and repeatedly failed, to pounce on mice.

A yellow taxi pulled up in the recently attacked mansion. The lone passenger in the back got out with a single bag carelessly slung over her shoulder, a crinkled envelope in her hand. The taxi drove off as the red headed girl walked up to the gate and pushed it open. "'at was easy," she said to herself in an Irish brogue. She made her way up to the house, but noticed that it was really quiet. Too quiet. She walked through the all ready open door, and her feet crunched on glass. "Wha' in bloody 'ell 'appened 'ere?" She stepped to the center of the entrance hall and yelled out, "'ello? Is anybody 'ere? 'ello?!" She prayed for an answer. She had come too far and was too close now to have something go wrong at this point.

Taela immediately picked up on the noise. Kurama yelped and was on her back in an instant. She decided quickly that the accented voice was not a SHIELD member, so she softened her dangerous-looking english dragon form into the more graceful and flowing asian dragon form. Her claws tapped the floor as she walked over. "Hello." Taela said as she came into view of the girl. If she was from SHIELD, she was one idiot newbie. "What is your business here? We're not exactly able to host guests right now."

Terry yelped as the dragon appeared. "Uh, uh," was all she could say at the moment. "I can see 'at something 'appened 'ere, but I mean no 'arm." She looked around, backing up a little from the dragon. "Apparently I came at a very bad time, but I'm lookin' for someone. Sean Cassidy. 'ave ye ever 'eard of'im?" She hoped that the name would at least sound familiar. She kept her eyes on the dragon, not knowing what to expect from it/her.

"Cass'dy?" Taela repeated, adding her own Delawarean accent to it. It sounded oddly familiar. She thought for a moment, curling a whisker around a claw as she contemplated it. "Ah, yea. I've heard of'im. He ain't round here, though." She gave up hiding her slight south-sounding accent. "Name's Taela Tavington. Delaware native shapeshifter. Course, y'did show up at a bad time. No one's here 'cept a lucky few. Not even Professor Xavier's here, from what we could tell. You are....?"
Kurama peeked over her shoulder, his bright eyes shining with curiousity renewed.
"Oh, and this critter here's Kurama. M'pet fox. Sweetie, really, but kinda shy now."

Terry looked down at the floor in disbelief. "M'name's Theresa Rourke," she answered. "Wha' d'ye mean 'e's gone? Wha' 'appened 'ere?" From what she could tell there was definetely an invasion.

Taela walked over, sizing up the girl as she did. "SHEILD. It's a long story. Let's just say there was a big misunderstandin' an' now this ain't a safe place."
When she got so she was right in front of Theresa, she shifted back into her human form. Kurama jumped down and sat at Theresa's feet, staring up at her and whining for attention.

Terry kneeled down next to Kurama and scratched him under the chin. "'ello," she whispered to him. She looked back up at Taela. "D'ye know if 'e was taken?" She desperately wanted the answer to be that he wasn't.

Kurama happily accepted the attention, leaning forward for more. When she paused, he gave a small whine and then starting sniffing her.
'Well, if Kurama likes her she can't be that bad...' Taela thought to herself. "I haven't seen him, and no one was here when I got here, except Logan, Ororo, and two other students. Sorry, but he's probably captured like the rest."
Taela turned to continue her search. "If y'want, you c'n stick with me. I'm gonna search 'round here for clues, th'n fly back t'Muir Island. Maybe Moira there c'n help ya."

Terry picked up the little fox and followed Taela. "'o's Moira?" she asked. The name sounded familiar, but she wasn't entirely sure. She started scratching Kurama behind his ears.

Taela smiled at the little fox, who looked like he was in heaven. "Christine's mom. She's kinda datin' Sean."
Taela shifted back into her dragon form and led the new girl deeper into the Mansion. More than once she had to use the wide fan tail of her asian dragon form to sweep away broken glass and ceramics. "I've heard some things 'bout Sean from Christine, seein' as we shared a room. Hopefully that's least still in one piece."

Terry frowned a little as she continued to scratch the little fox. She wasn't expecting him to be dating anyone. "Did Christine go t'Muir Islan' as well?"
((sorry so short, gotta go!))

Taela gave her an odd glance back. "She lives there. Moira and Christine McTaggert are pretty well known 'round here."
Kurama spotted the envelope in the girl's other hand and decided he wanted it. He squirmed in her arms until he managed to yank it out of her hand with his teeth.
"I shoulda warned ya that he eats stuff." Taela said with a smirk. "He's the destroyer of most of the sonic emitters Scott put up t'keep out th'critters. Thinks it's a joke, I think."
She reached the room she and Christine had shared, and pushed the door open. It was mostly untouched, probably because it had been empty.

Terry gasped, but then laughed when Kurama took the envelope. "I can see 'at. 'ey, ye li'le bugger, 'at's mine." She took it out of his teeth and slipped into a pocket on her bag.
She followed Kaela into the room and looked around. Then she asked, "She woul'n't 'appen t'ave any pictures of 'im, woul' she? Or d'ye know ov any aroun' 'ere?"

"Prob'ly not. Unless y'got a death wish, I wouldn't go huntin' through her stuff." Taela said. She pulled out from underneath her bed a wooden chest that looked a bit like a pirate's chest, ornately carved with numerous mythical creatures. "Ah, untouched. I was worried 'bout this. All m'treasures are in this." She flicked her eyes around, mentally checking everything. "Prettymuch my stuff's all the stuff with either an imaginary critter, a fox, or a horse on it."
The room was simple, with two twin beds, two desks, and two dressers. One desk had numerous blue ribbons and pictures of riders, most the same girl, and a white mare. On one bed was a dragon-embroidered blanket and set lovingly on the pillows, a doll with one eye in the middle of its head.
