Terry looked around and kind of giggled at the comment. Then as Taela furthered communicated with someone. "Well, do they know where 'e is?" she impatiently asked.

((Um, it's a telepathic communication. Terry shouldn't be able to hear or tell Taela's talking to Christine.... And don't worry about the long wait. Just post an absence next time so we don't worry ;D)) Taela sighed. "We're getting no where here, and I doubt Logan's found anything else of use." She shifted out a pen and a small bit of paper from a small internal pocket she had. "I'll just leave a note." Logan, Storm, or anyone else searching the Mansion, I left to go back to Muir. New girl showed up, she's coming with me. Might stop by Delaware on the way back. Contact Christine on Muir Island if you find anything we should know about. ~Taela~She then tacked the note to a nearby door with a bit of metal from her finger. "That should do it."

((well, i don't usually get a chance to post on the weekends.))
Terry clapped her hands together once and said, "Great! Now, let's go." Use to taking charge at home, she started walking off in a direction, but stopped and slowly turned around. "Oi jus' realized somethin'. Oi don' know th'way." She blushed, embarrassed, and said, "Lead th'way."

Taela tried to suppress a giggle. "Leaderly type, are we?" She asked with a bemused grin. She turned and walked back the way they'd come, down to the front door.
"Do you think you can handle a trans-Atlantic flight?"

Terry followed Taela and nodded in response. "Oi think Oi can manage," she said. "Oi'll 'ave t'scream th'whole time, but don' worry. Oi put up some kin' of telekinetic shield aroun' me, so maybe Oi can also put it up aroun' ye if Oi stay close t'ye."

"Never bothered with shields" Taela said. "Mostly just fly under radar or too high to be bothered with. Unless I tag behind a jet and let it pull me. Then I'm too close to be seen."
She nudged open the door with her nose, since Kurama seemed intent on making sure she carried him. He wove around her front legs, making it hard for her to move them. "Kurama, sit." She snapped. The fox's tail hit the ground instantly.
Taela pulled her nose when something wet hit it. "Crap. It's raining." She put her whole head out only to get smacked, hard. "Correction. It's hailing."
((ooc-tying into Proteus's Seals threads, but not actually joining. Blood-rain, ew! Dude, you owe us all therapy!))

Shatterstar had finally decided to go to the library, find a book of road maps and then walk out there. He was not willing to interact with the people here more then he needed to. He was well aware that he put off a subtle vibe of...wrong. He didn't react like they did, he didn't speak as they did, he didn't move like they did and the black star imposed over one eye did not help matters. Or the swords, he supposed. But not for anyone or anything would he get rid of his swords.
There had been that one time at the airport. But that had been because Rictor was leaving the country and he had wanted to stay with his friend as long as possible. Shatterstar's mouth twitched slightly. And this time, he had not had a chance to say goodbye at all, to any of them. Perhaps, if Xavier existed, then somewhere in this universe, the members of X-Factor did as well. After all, he had made it through.
He climbed the wall at the back of the estate easily, then silently made his way through the woods to the house. He had been made to perform activities like this. It was part of who he was. And he performed them well.
When it started to rain, he ignored it. When it started to hail, he ignored that as well, continuing to make his way silently to the house. But when it started to rain small creatures and blood, he recoiled in disgust then ran for the shelter he could see ahead. Blood dripped down the points of the star on his face as he paused, seeing the damage to the house. Something had burnt away a large section of the building.
Shaking his head slightly, Shatterstar jogged to the back door.

Terry said, "Well, th'sound waves are powerful enough t'render a 'uman being unconscious. It migh' be wise if ye fly close t'me." She looked out the front door and saw the rain. She looked at it in disgust. "Bloody 'ell, and no pun intended. We're going t'fly in 'at?" Her shield wasn't going to protect her from that.

"No way in he....." Taela was caught off guard when 'critters' started to fall. "Oh that's just sick!" She pulled the door shut, shaking her head.
Kurama yelped and hid behind the trunk on Taela's back.
"That's just not natural, and I don't want to meet whoever's creating it." Taela said, looking at Terry. "Let's head to the back door. It's close to the woods, so we can dart through there and use the woods' cover to shield us until we find a dry spot to fly out of."

Terry felt like she was about to throw up from the heavy smell of blood. "Ugh, gross!" she said, her hands muffling her voice. She was definetely relieved when Taela shut the door.
"Let's head to the back door. It's close to the woods, so we can dart through there and use the woods' cover to shield us until we find a dry spot to fly out of."
Terry looked back at Taela and removed her hands from her mouth. Tucking back her hair, she nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's. Jus' lead th'way."

Taela led them through the hallways all the way to the backdoor, where she was surprised to see a man she'd never met before. He'd obviously been caught out in the sickening rain.
Dropping her luggage and Kurama, she shifted into a dragon-half form, claws ready in case the man was hostile or from SHIELD.
"Hello, I don't believe we've met."

Terry studied the man, weary of him. Apparently, Taela had never seen him before, so he wasn't from the school. She let the bag on her shoulder slump on the floor and stood at the ready and a little in front of Taela so her sonic vibrations wouldn't hurt her. "Wha' d'ye want?" she asked.

Shatterstar had been about to open the door before a woman did so before him from the inside. He could feel the blood sliding stickily along his skin, reminding him with skin memory of fights he'd won and lives he'd taken. It made him remember things he didn't want to remember.
And then he saw the woman behind the girl with scales and claws.
"Terry? Feck, Terry! I thought everyone was gone! Have you seen Rictor? No one seems to have heard of X-Factor, it is like they vanished into the aether."

((oh, okay. gotchya))
Terry let her guard down. He seemed to know her. "Who de 'ell are ye?" she asked. She was utterly confused, and her face showed it. She had never seen this guy before and didn't know how he would know her name. "'ow do ye know m'name?" She wanted answers right then and there.

Taela looked at the two. "Or not...." She looked the man over. He looked strange, but he was still covered in the blood-rain. "Kurama, go get a towel."
The fox happily ran off, disappearing down one of the halls.
