I kinda like Daniel Craig, really. Although my favourite Bond is definitely Sean Connery. Or Pierce Brosnan. Mmmmm...
I like them having Judi Dench as M though. She's great! But we need more Q. I want more gadgets.

Connery will always be 'the' Bond.. but Peirce was my first one..and although Sean has that...amazing voice, Peirce is probably my favorite overall.
I really do like Craig, I think he's doing an excellent job of it, I just didn't think Quantum was nearly as good as Casino Royale.
If anything (besides the inevitable natural way) happened to Judi I might demand that no more bond films be made, because she IS M in my mind xD

Daniel Craig sold me. I love Connery, no question, but the new movies are terrific.

I think I'm going to have to do better... I completely missed the boat on that conversation, didn't I?
I also need to finish that last chapter of 'The Light Fantastic' and move onto the next book...
*le sigh*

Discword definitely gets better further in. You need to read the first few to get a feel for the 'verse, but once there's all that contextual background, it really takes off. Rincewind's not really my favourite character anyway. I like the Guardsmen storyline the best. Sam Vimes is made of pure awesome. Daniel has Bond's attitude. Even if it took me a bit to get over the non-black hair.

I will say...the 'ocean scene' in Casino Royale realllllly sold the vain shallow side of me. And here I was thinking I didn't like anything resembling a speedo.

What any sane woman wouldn't give to be one of those water droplets. XD
You know what one of the best scenes in a Bond movie is though? In Diamonds are Forever, when they get the car to go up on its side and drive like that. Best chase scene ever!

Aww, c'mon Blue... not even on you? Also I find it amusing that when one google image searches speedo, the Bond picture is in the first row of results.

What any sane woman wouldn't give to be one of those water droplets. XD And some of the men, too...

I'm pretty sure even the nearby bottles of water would have liked to be among the holy drops of Bond-goodness.

*snicker* Probably.
At least the Bond Girl was intelligent in Casino Royale. Usually they're a bit dim.

*snicker* Probably. At least the Bond Girl was intelligent in Casino Royale. Usually they're a bit dim. Or in unbelievable posistions... I for one KNOW that no Nuclear Physicist walks around in a Tank-Top and Short-Shorts... Though Eva was AMAZING. But I also liked the Woman in Goldeneye... Natalya, was it? She seemed believable.

I think we can attribute the growth of brain in the women in Bond movies to Women's Lib. Although Moneypenny was always pretty on the ball.
I do still like the names of some of the Bond Girls though. Like Honey Ryder. You have to admit that's great.
