In response to her question, Jono set about writing almost frantically, handing off the first page hardly missing a beat as words continued to flow from the pen in his hand. She took it, eyes darting over the words, laughing a moment later.
"You poor, poor soul. You must be liberated." She joked as soon as she could speak again.
He gave her the second page quickly, and again it only was a moment before she had taken it all in. Again, it was enough to get her laughing.
"Eeek. We definitely need to get you out of there. Before you snap, right?" She grinned. "I know that feeling. Between the spikes, pins and ink..." She shook her head slightly before going on about the last part. That didn't phase her in the least.
"Eh, the same thought rules the masses. You aren't a part, they take it as reason to stare and make those oh-so-intelligent comments." Throwing her hands up uselessly, she shrugged. "Normals..."

Went to a museum recently, as a sort of cheer up thing for a guy at the mansion who's into that. The hurrying away of children from me was pronounced.
Jonothon leaned back onto the seat slightly, eyes dancing with amusement as she read his notes, pen still scrawling across the cheap lined paper of his notebook.
Beware sullen rebellious teens. For they have angst and guns, and dress in black.

Ali laughed as she read the reaction of the museum kiddos, running off. If the kids themselves weren't edging away, the parents would likely drag them, whispering not to look. She could picture the scene all too readily, and she had failed at keeping a remotely straight face.
"People scare far too easily." She noted with a grin before reading the next line. The sarcastic humor was clear even though it was written.
"And when it's too hard to get the guns in, let them not forget, we're just out to steal people's souls, give them to our Lord and Master Satan."

For I do confess that I am a Goth, and have sold my soul to Satan for a black leather coat, eyeliner, and the pale complexion of the undead. Souls are over rated anyway.
Jonothon shrugged slightly, watching her grin. This was...good. Relatively normal. Probably as close to normal as he was ever going to get again.

Ali snickered at the comment, going with the joking tone of it all. She agreed with a simple nod, one hand over her mouth as she tried to get back the ability to talk past the laughs.
"You got a way with words, Jono."
Ali complimented him with a grin, finally moving around from the back of the bench to the front to sit. It seemed a better move than standing over him, feeling hovery.

I'm a songwriter, words are part of my stock in trade.
Jonothon shifted over slightly to make room for her, moving the guitar carefully.
What other petty things do you do beside the extremely important thing of being in a band?

Reading the words, Ali smiled again. As true as that was, it made for a lot of seemingly unnecessary writing. He could boil it all down to shorthand, but he didn't. He wrote it just like he must have talked.
"Besides the band, I've got school, work, schoolwork..." She trailed off, her tone clearly exhaustion at it all. "Though I do still manage to have this crazy thing called a social life from time to time. How bout you, beyond the music?"

Not much of anything. Some work. Training. Things to pass the time.
Jonothon shrugged slightly.
School's always seemed like a waste of time to me for the most part.

Work, hobbies, music... None of it seemed out of the ordinary. Just another kid moving through the otherwise boring years. Ali was curious at what he meant by training.
"Do you strength train, or karate or something?" She asked casually.
Reading down the note, she nodded in agreement.
"It is. Heinous and boring law program... On the bright side, at least it saved me from getting disowned."
Disowned might have been an exaggeration, but she wasn't kidding that it was the school compromise that held her relationship with her father together.

Martial arts. It's calming. And helpful to know exactly how to kill someone with your bare hands.
Jonothon's eyes gleamed with a wicked amusement.
Like to go back to uni and get a degree in music. But can't manage it at the moment.

Ali laughed aloud at the comment, shaking her head slightly at the same time.
"I like the reasoning. Priorities," she remarked quickly, still smiling evily at the picture it conjured.
"I'm sure you'll pull it off in time." She continued from the words encouragingly. "With your skills, you could get into some really good places."

Should look at getting into a new band. Can't take the stares the bandages get yet. Hate being pitied, you know? Don't want to be taken on cos freaks get more crowds.
Jonothon watched her for her response to that carefully.

Reading the note, Ali had a look of distaste toward the middle, loathing the thought of what he had likely been through. Unwanted pity was the biggest known example of good intentions gone awry.
Toward the end, her expression was something more familiar, his wording it making it seem as if she'd dropped some hint. It was her "freakish" power that drew the crowds beyond the punks and other alternative groups. Most fans were of the music, but there were enough that only came for the pretty lights. Of course, his reasoning in it all was far darker. For him, it was the spectacle of a bandaged face.
"I'll keep my ear open, see who I can hook ya up with. Got more musician friends than you, Tom, and Rocco. Degree in time, after you're so good they can only see the music." She spoke casually, looking back up at him. After a pause, she reverted to joking. "Or, y'know, you could always try and blind the ones that don't get it first."

That would be cool and I would be very appreciative. Blind them with my dazzling wit, yeah.
Jonothon raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Friday's show, we'll get your name out there."
Looking over to him, the expression, as she read the last few words, she shrugged with a slight smile.
"I usually go for very bright lights."
