"That'll happen. That's why we need the surgeon general to put out a warning about prolonged exposure for you foreigners."
Ali joked, dark lips in a wide smile.
"Put that way, it sounds like she's taken up residence in your head."
The punk didn't mention aloud the other thought that came to mind at Jono's phrasing. Her mind went to the gutter for a moment there, giving the grin a wicked edge as she held back a snicker.

"Gah, no!" Jonothon said, putting his hands to his head in an effort to dismiss the thought of Jubilee in dom gear.
"That image is gonner be with me all bleeding day now, yer know that?"

Jono's sudden exclamation made Ali look to him startled, wondering why before she remembered.
Duh, psychic...
That definitely explained why he was clutching his head with a miserable expression of 'make it go away...'
"Oops, heh heh..." Ali replied, meaning it. Honest mistake, she wasn't even thinking about it at the time. She ducked her head slightly with a cringe at his response. "Sorry..."

"Little sister figure, so very wrong thinking of her like that," Jonothon explained with a slight chuckle.
"Besides...the dom in me school was my headmistress. Wore a corset, carried a riding crop around...she was scary."

"So it would seem," Ali replied as he explained his relationship with Jubilee. Big bros should not think of little sisters in that way, ever. It was well agreed upon.
Apparently his was not a life free of doms. As he mentioned the headmistress, Ali looked quite surprised.
"That can't be dress code..." She remarked, before putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder with a joking, "There, there."

"Thanks fer the sympathy," Jonothon said sarcastically, but in an amused voice.
"Honestly, if I believed in therapy...which I don't...this trauma would take years to work out. I could make some shrink very, very rich."

"Any time." Ali replied brightly, knowing full well he was joking. She laughed as he brought up the years of therapy.
"Good thing you aren't for it then," she remarked. If the doc got rich, then the patient got broke. Poor Jono Starsmore, crazy; he was traumatized by dominatrices in his teenage years... That was definitely something. Snickering again, she said nothing. After before, how this branch of conversation started, he'd pick up the though.

"Yer a right wicked piece, so yer are," Jonothon chuckled.
"What's the band scene like out 'ere anyway?"

Ali beamed.
"Wouldn't have it any other way."
After her proud reply, she listened to the question.
"It's pretty good. We've got some really good locals, whole spectrum of styles, and plenty of places that encourage that kind of act. I'm sure what we've got around here is nothing compared to England, though. Someday I'm gonna go there, see where it all started."

"It's good. Lots of cover bands though," Jonothon said.
"Listening ter a Sex Pistols cover band while the singer looks like Johnny is a bit of a headtrip."

Ali chuckled.
"Crazy. Cover's good, in moderation. Gotta have original stuff, though."

"We did some covers, but mostly it was stuff I wrote."
Jonothon looked at her carefully.
"Want ter actually hear some of it?"

Ali looked interested at the mention of more of his songs. She also wondered what he covered, but that was a question for later. At his offer, her eyes widened somewhat as she grinned.
"You mean as compared to what I just eavesdropped on? Yes!"

JOnothon reached down and picked up his guitar, settling it across his lap. A few whispered notes and then he started to play the song properly, the same wistful, sad song he'd been playing when she walked up.
"In the morning I turn over The indent of your head in the pillow Your perfume clinging to the sheets They're still warm But you're already gone
Washed the scent of me away Washed away my touch Washed away the shared darkness we've loved in Washed away my love for you
Some things you can't carry through the day I belong to your night, illict kisses in the dark And not your day, oh no, not me You don't want anyone to know What we two do
Shamed, you turn away And all I can is watch you leave Watch you from afar My heart shredded in your gaze Live for the moments we share in the dark When you pretend you love me, and all I do is love you
Wash me away Wash the darkness and the unholy sweat from your skin Never believe I love you truly Or that I could live in light of day Wash me away, watch me disappear down the drain Wash me away Wash your soul clean of me While I linger in the dark And wait for you
Wash, oh, wash me away Wash me away Wash my lonely love struck tears away..."

Watching in silence the moment he picked up the guitar, Ali sat as he played, listening intently to the whole piece. The song was even better whole, and the lyrics were...amazing. It was deep and mournful, truly felt as well as expressed. It was a thing of beauty.
When the song wrapped up, trailing off at the hum of the strings faded away, she finally had more of a response than her gaze. Meaning it, she brought her hands together in quiet applause.
"That was awesome," She complimented, the smile on her lips toned down in the mood set, appreciating it, but it was excited. He really was a great musician. She was impressed.
((Those lyrics really are amazing. ;D))
