He set his jaw in determination, and brooded over his coffee.

Christine smiled slightly. "Thanks," she said, and squeezed his hand. "Well - you can't say that I don't know how to lead." She grinned. "I was the one who lead the mission to save the professor - even got Magneto and Logan to listen." She was fairly beaming with pride at that small accomplishment.

Scott grinned and felt a twinge of pride.
"See? I think you have more in you than you realize," he said, not quite grasping exactly how right he was.

She smiled, fairly glowing from the praise. "Well.." she beamed. "I had an excellent role model in my big brother."

Taela grinned to herself as she stood by the counter. She didn't really know why she didn't feel like interrupting, but for once she'd kept her big mouth shut. Listening, she realized how close the two were. She also realized she'd had about fourteen billion chances to prank and not a single one used. She sipped her tea and glanced out the window. The clouds gave way for a moment to reveal the starry sky they'd been hiding from her. "Oh look. There's a break in the clouds. Only one constellation, though. Looks like Pegasus. My favorite." She turned to the two at the table. "Either of you ever stargaze? It's quite relaxing."

"I did it a little when I was younger. Kev taught me some stargazing," Christine murmured softly. "That was before.." Her voice trailed off and she fell quiet.
