Matt made a perplexed look and said "Well that's weird. Didn't you ever get that li'l feelin' of guilt when you yelled at somebody or did somethin' stupid that got somebody hurt?"

She shook her head.
"Never. And it wasn't only those things I'd do. I was an assassin. I killed people for money, and I never even felt guilty." she said, frowning.
"Untill recently I didn't anyway. Now, all of a sudden, I'm defending aliens!" she said, throwing her gloved hands into the air, then letting them drop onto her lap.
She shook her head again. "I think it's my empathy coming out that's doing it though."

"OK....." he said, looking around to see if anyone was nearby, hoping there was somone there who could help if she decided he needed to die or something. GEEEZ!!!! This woman's killed people!!!! And she's blaming feeling guilty on her powers!?! Gulping hard he stood up when he realized she'd taken her gloves off, watching her nervously, not wanting to be her next victim or something.

She blinked. "What? I'm not going to kill you!" she said with a laugh. "That's behind me now." she added, seeing as he wasn't convinced. "Even if I tried, I'd probbrably keel over from sensing your fear and pain." she added. She could already sense his uneasiness, and it bothered her. 'That's why I never talk to people.' she thought, sighing. (OOC: I'm going to have to be going soon.  ) |

Sitting back down, he thought he could trust her if she hadn't actually killed anybody that had been spying on her while she was taking a shower. He closed his eyes and sighed. "And anyway, there's no reason for me to kill you." she added, seeing as she could still sense uneasiness.
She re-ajusted her gloves as a slight breeze blew, ruffling her bangs, so that they fell in her face.
She made a face as she moved them out of her eyes, irratate with the constant annoyince her hair caused.

Openning his eyes when she talked, Matt smirked and laughed mentally about her not having a reason to kill him. "Well thats good. I got enough people ridin' my back as it is..." he said, watching in amusement as she fiddled with her bangs.
Pulling off his incredibly oversized forest green headband, he twirled it around his forefinger while he spoke. "You should really get one a these" he said. "They keep it outta the way real good." He thought about tossing it to her, but decided against it. He wore it so much he felt almost naked without it at the moment.

Larza laughed.
"Yeah. I usually have my hair up, but I left it down today." she said, smiling.
Her thoughts inevitably strayed back to the crisis at hand.
"So what do you think Magneto's going to do? I mean, normally he'd nver be this....Xavier-like. He's really acting like Xavier's twin brother or something, identical personality and so on." she said, then sighed.
"If this battle is as devistating as he says, I'm not sure how many of us will come back. And I don't jsut mean from the Sentinals."
"Say one of the X-Men dies. The rest'll get either depresed or go on a psyco killing spree. Then thatll effect the rest of the teams, even if they didn't really know the one who died! It'll all fall down around us."
She blinked as she realized how much she'd said.
'Great. Now he'll think I'm insane.' she thought wryly, looking at her gloved hands.
(OOC: Nope, Larza's not usually a talking person. That's why she thinks you'll think she's insane. ^_^)

"Your prob'ly right. About gettin' depressed I mean. I wouldn't expect 'em to go out killin' people though." he answered, pulling the headband back on. He did his best to adjust it back to the way it was while he continued. "Noel Forscythe died not too long ago, or so Doc McCoy told me. But ever'body looks to be takin' it a'right."
Matt stood and sighed. "Guess we just gotta stay optimistic, keep our chins up. Hopefully that, and our teamin' up, will be enough."

She frowned. "I didn't even know anyone died." she said quietly. "No one told me. What happened?" she askled, tilting her head.
'A week ago I wouldn't even care. Is that good or bad?' she wondered idly. 'Probbrably bad.'

"I don't really know." Matt answered with a shrug. Putting his hands back in the pockets of his jeans he said "Doc McCoy just told me about everthin' that's been goin' on 'round here lately. Basic'ly a rough li'l outline, no real details."
He leaned back against the tree. In the back of his mind he wondered why a former assassin cared about someone that died. Anyone can change I s'pose... he thought to himself.

She nodded.
"I just knew that some of the people here were acting depressed, and I automatically thought it as because of the Professor's coma." she said.
"I figured that if someon had died, Logan would go beserk, or something like that." she added, toying with her gloves.

"That's what I would have thought when I first met him. You'd never guess how collected he is in this kinda situation. 'Specially just by lookin' at 'im." Matt answered calmly. Letting his head roll back as far as it would go, he stared up at a cloudy sky through the thick blanket of leaves of the tree overhead.

"Looks to me like he's always showin' off a li'l more'dn usual around Storm, if ya get my drift." he continued with a grin, satisfied he knew something about Logan that he could possibly use to get back at him at some point.
