Matt laughed with her but quickly stettled back down.
"So, what are ya gonna do after this is all over?" he asked, noticing the squirrel again but deciding it was too far away to catch in a bubble or something.

"I really don't know. I could go back with the Acolytes. It seems the best idea so far." she said, shrugging. "I most likely won't join the X-Men. It ust doesnt fit. But I may just leave all the grooups alltogether. G get a real *life*, you know?"
"Whay about you?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

"Originally I'm from Florida. My foster family's still there, but I don't know if I'd even try to go back there." she said, shrugging.
"The only one of them that knows I'm a mutant is my foster sister, Lena, but she's freaked out by me." she added with a faint laugh.

Matt gave a half laugh and a smirk when he thought of how his 'aquantinces' had reacted to him being a mutant. He couldn't exactly call them 'friends' anymore after the way they treated him.

She idly picked up a leaf that had fallen on her foot, and twirled it between two fingers. "I guess thinking it's cool would be as close to 'original' as it gets anymore."

Matt reacted with a laugh, probably an unexpected one. "Don't think we'll ever get one o' those though. If we did it'd prob'ly designated under the 'Miracle' file."
Leaning foreward to stand up straight away from the tree, he said "Anyway, I'm gonna get some grub. Want some?" As he talked over his shoulder, he started walking slowly in the direction of the mansion.
