Hearing Magneto address her directly, Storm took a moment to collect her thoughts, before speaking.
“I must say that this course of action makes me uneasy. I see your point that if we attack first, we may stand a better chance, but will a small team be enough? And if we wait, and they attack us here, we would have the advantage of being on our home turf, and with more time to prepare. But we would have no warning as to when this attack may come.”
Sighing heavily, Storm sat in one of the chairs facing Charles’ desk. Voicing her thoughts out loud did very little to help organize them, and only served to prove her indecision.

Logan snorted at her response in a very rude manner. "Nuthin in life is guaranteed sweetheart." I know that more than anyone! "Ya don't always get warnings!"
He looked back over at Magneto and said, "Maggie here has sum good points and whether you two agree with it or not I'm goin." He shifted in his chair. "Beats sittin around here shootin the breeze and wastin time with borin conversation!"
Instead of not meeting Ororo's questioning look he met it head on with an unreadable look of his own.

Storm was a little shocked at the tone Logan used on her, and turned to look at him, her brows knitted in confusion. He met her gaze with a steely one of his own. Rising from her seat, her eyes turned cold.
“Well excuse me if this conversation is boring you. But there is more planning to a mission like this than just breaking in, and tearing the place apart!” she countered, placing her hands on her hips.

Standing as well, Logan shot back just as angrily. "Well it sounds to me thass exactly what Maggie boy is askin for! Now's the time for action-not a buncha pansy words!" The two of them just stared challengingly at each other and the tension level in the room escalated to unbearable heights.

Magneto was no dummy. He knew there was a tension between Ororo and Wolverine, and he thought that it ran much deeper than meets the eye. “Please be seated!” He said with some authority. “Or stand as you wish, but I will not allow this meeting to break into a fist fight!” He was more than capable of stopping it too.
I suspect this has something to do with seeing me in her room.
“The two of you need to discuss your problems with each other in private-perhaps even schedule a sparring match in the Danger Room…whatever it takes to clear the air. We simply do not have time for this kind of drama right now!” They continued staring each other down, and Magneto turned his gaze to Henry for support.

As Magneto broke the staring match with the booming of his voice, Storm turned her glare to him. At his mention of a ‘sparring match in the Danger Room’, her eyes widened momentarily, and she snuck a glance at Logan out of the corner of her eye.
“You are right, and I apologize for losing my temper,” she said to Magneto, before resuming her seat. “Emotions are running high lately, but I do believe we must all be on the same page about our course of action. If the majority decision is that a small group is sent out, then so be it, but I believe we should all approve the team.”
Her expression was hard, as she challenged anyone to disagree.

Beast opened his mouth to talk for the fourth or fifth time and was rudely interrupted by Logan again. “Well then it’s settled. I’m takin Guido, Gambit and that Pyro fella. They seem like some heavy hitters who can do a lotta damage.”
He directed a comment toward Ororo without turning his head toward her. “And I ain’t leavin it up for discussion.” It looked like Beast had finally had enough.

"Sun Tzu once said 'The supreme act of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting'", Henry said with noticable agitation in his voice.
"I wonder if perhaps he meant 'amongst ourselves'."
He levelled an annoyed stare at Logan. "It's rash and it's brave", he said and then looked at Magneto, "I'm just not sure it's wise. We do not know that a retaliation is even intended, much less when - though we are not prepared. This virtually ensures one. And swiftly. How will we deal with that? We cannot be certain they even know where we are."
"You're talking about using the hornet's nest for batting practice and you have no real idea how many hornets are at home", he said with a shrug. "You may simply be asking that we all get stung."

While Magneto was waiting for Beast to formulate his response he sent a quick telepathic sweep of the mansion in search of the mutants that Logan had mentioned, just in case they were going to be needed. He could not sense them anywhere, so he projected his thoughts out to them-requesting their return.
After Beast had spoken, Magneto just stared at him. "I can assure you Henry, a Sentinal strike is not a matter of 'if', but 'when'. They will attack us without a fragment of a doubt, and these hornets if they are enabled to attack us in full strength will overpower us. There is no way we would withstand an attack from all of them at once." He lowered his gaze a little. "To put it bluntly Henry, we would all die in that scenario. That is a risk I am not at liberty to take."
As if that was settled, he looked at Logan. "The teammates you suggest are appropriate for this kind of mission."

Henry stood.
"If that will be all then...", he said as he headed for the door.
Before opening it, he paused and turned back to the room. "I am curious as to the reason for this....interruption", he said with control but much annoyance. "You talk about not being at liberty to take risks", he said to Magneto. "If that is true, then I apologize, for I thought that this was about the discussion of opinions - not the delivery of ultimatums."
"Had I known clairvoyance was one of your hidden talents I would not have wasted your time."
He looked apologetically at Storm, then to Logan with concern, then back to Magneto. "It is not that I oppose a plan", he said. "This plan is ill-conceived and I fear for its outcome."
As if a final word, Henry looked back to Logan. "Pyro's a good lad. He works well in the field and has my vote of confidence."
With that, he turned to leave.

After Logan’s last remarks, Storm turned her narrowed eyes to his. But hearing Beast speak of his concerns, she felt relieved that she was not the only one with reservations. But it seemed Logan and Magneto had formed a silent alliance, and were planning on making all the decisions without the input of the other two.
As Beast turned to leaved the room, Storm decided to follow his lead.
“I must agree with Henry. And since it seems my opinions hold absolutely no weight here, if you will excuse me, I will also take my leave,” she said, rising from her seat once again. Sending an angry glare in the other two men’s direction, she followed Henry to the door.

"Henry, Ororo, please be seated. This is not a dictatorship here!" Magneto said with no small amount of irritation in his voice. "If we cannot come to an agreement on a course of action, then we will discuss it until we can." Though sitting around here waiting to be annhilated is not a real option. I must make them see that.
He looked at them as they hesitated by the door. "I am curious to hear if either of you has an alternative to the plan I suggested..."
Then he added, "And I do have an alternative of my own-though I fear it might come with more resistance from you than this plan did."

Logan already had it set in his mind, and was going over a plan of his own in his head while Hank and Ororo were deciding whether to stay or leave.
So maybe I go off on my own with that small group. I tink Maggsie actually has a decent plan there. Strike first-strike hard! I am curious to find out where he had intended to make the strike though...
He was trying not to let any of this read on him as he sat there completely silent. When Ororo spoke he couldn't help but let fly with a "Pfft!". Then he took to studying his fingernails like she wasn't even in the room.

Turning back to address the room once more, Storm through Logan a death glare, before turning her attention to Magneto.
“I am sorry, Erik, but I do not believe we are getting anywhere. Although it would be nice to believe that we could share our opinions, and reach a decision that we can all agree on, I feel that will not happen. Some of us obviously feel their ideas should be placed above all others, and should not be argued with.”
Clenching her hands into fists behind her back, Storm struggled to keep the element in check, as they threatened to break free.
“Maybe we could try this again later, after we have all had time to cool down, and collect our thoughts. If that time comes, please inform me,” she finished. Turning on her heel, her silvery white hair twirling behind her, she left the room, slamming the door behind her.

After Ororo had left Logan kicked his chair back too, and stood with a bored stretch-cracking his neck with a twist of his head. He acted like nothing in the world was wrong. Magneto and Beast were looking at him and he just ignored them both.
“Well if we ain’t headed toward any action you two can have your meeting. I don’t see any point in wastin my time sittin around here flappin our jaws…” Without another word he calmly went over to the door, opened it and walked out, making it a point to seem less volatile than Ororo had been. His last words were, “If ya figure it out then let me know.” He shut the door softly but quickly, and headed down the hallway.
Now to head over to Mag’s room and try and figure out what he was plannin’
