Guido sighed.
"This is gonna sound like something out of the X-Files. She needs Chris, or this Phoenix, to prevent her insane brother from gettin' this M'Kraan crystal. Somehow, if he gets ahold of it, several hundred worlds are in danger of bein' wiped out. Includin', I suppose, this one. Also, her brother's sendin' out his Imperial Guard to bring Lilandra back, and from tha looks of it she's none too pleased ta deal with them."
He looked down into Storm's eyes. "Look, I know I've been kind of a joker and cut-up since I got here. But this isn't somethin' I made up. Somethin' big's in the works."

Leaning heavily against the counter, Storm attempted to digest all the information Guido had just thrown at her.
“So Phoenix has to put Christine’s life in danger, in order to save millions?” she asked aloud, more to herself than to Guido. “As if the poor child does not have enough to deal with as it is.”
Around here, it never rains, it pours.

"My thoughts exactly. All this stress and responsibility can't be good for her. She's gonna crack, and losin' control of somethin' like the Phoenix could be ugly."
That's assuming she even HAS control of the Phoenix...
He rubbed his bald head. "Oh well. She's in good hands with Gambit."
Did I just say that?

“I do hope that we can help her as much as we can, but with this impending war…” Storm trailed off, knowing the sentence did not need to be completed. “But I do believe some time away from this place may be just what Christine needs.”
Glancing at the door that Magneto and Lilandra had exited through, Storm couldn’t help but wonder how their conversation was faring.

(OOC: Gawd I missed alot! Let's just say I';m wandering around looking for Logan and Beast right now, k? Lol...oy.)
Larza sighed, having already alerted Storm that she was needed, she was now looking for Logan or Beast...both acctually.
She knew her way to the med-bay, so she decided to check there for Beast first.
Standing in the doorway, she knocked lightly on the half-open door, before entering.
Seeing Beast there, she nodded. "Excuse me. You're needed downstairs. It's about Phoenix, I think." she said, toying nervously with her gloves.
She never liked talking to people she doidn't know well, let alone with news that seemed to be bad, or at least not great.

Minutes before, Henry might have been upset by yet another interruption, another meeting....but he had just had a breakthrough in his long hours of research and he was feeling quite pleased. There's a chance, he told himself. All he had to do now was prepare the result. And wait.
"Lead the way, my dear.", he said to Larza. She was looking much better than the last time he had seen her - when her powers were out of control.

Larza nodded and started out, going downstairs to where their visitor had last been. From there, she figured Guido'd taken her into the kitchen, and went into there.
She'd been right. Once there, she looked at the others, seeing that Logan was not there, and that Lillandra was no longer there either.
She turned to the others.
"Has anyone seen Logan? I'm supposed to go get him..." she said, re-ajusting her black gloves, slightly shy.

"Heya, Larz. Thanks fer roundin' everyone up. Nah, haven't seen Logan, but I think we've got enough brass here fer now. Anyhoo, our visitor seems ta have run off fer a little stroll with Mags."

Larza nodded.
"So what exactly is going on?" she asked, "I didn't hear very much before I went to find people."

Lilandra had been just about to settle into her room when she noticed she had left her helmet down in the kitchen. Stifling a curse, she made her way downstairs to the kitchen, carefully storing the knowledge of what room and floor she had been placed in for future reference.
She gently slipped into the room, sidestepping the large blue thing. She padded over to the chair and picked up her helmet. "what?" she asked, when she felt people staring at her.

"Uh, hey there, Lil," Guido stammered. "Just uh, wonderin' if there's anything you'll be needin' before ya turn in."

She arched her back, stretching. "Who said I was going to bed? I have too much plotting and planning to do that sleep is not an option."

Plottin' and plannin'? That can't be good.
"Aha. All righty. Well, uh, good luck with all that."
Geez, I'm an idiot!

"One does not become a Grand Admiral by being ill prepared for any course of action." She arched her back again, trying to work the kinks out. "A lot of what I've planned already has included the Phoenix helping - if she is unable or unwilling - I'll have to undo months of planning and start all over again."

Larza frowned.
''Just plan for both scenarios. Plan one that she'd be helping in. Then another without. Whichever you believe to be the most likely you should work hardest on." she said quietly, surprised that she was even speaking.
She fixed a steady gaze on Lilandra. "That seems the best choice of action to me." she added, more quietly than before.
'It's not a 'professional' opinion, but I hope it's helpful.' she thought, brushing back her bangs, meeting the alien's gaze evenly.
